These numbers are mostly due to a reduction in minutes.
He's still be a very effective player this year with essentially the same PER36 stats as last year, a 20.2 PER, 68.5 TS%, 17.9 TRB%, 4.6 BLK%, the same USG% as last season, 0.244 ws/48 and 2.1 BPM.

I don't personally mind the per minute argument sometimes, but I also feel like it can be kinda weak. Like maybe that player is playing less minutes because they suck and can't have that kind of production throughout a whole game any more. Maybe they are only a 10-15 minutes per game player now. Maybe their role has been reduced because they can't contribute at a high level throughout a game like they used to be able to
