I patiently waited for him to play 1/3 of the season before posting this.
Current: 83 2020-2021 Per Game: 28.2 PTS | 5.3 REBS | 5.3 ASTS | 1.1 STLS | 0.5 BLK | 52% FG | 43% 3FG | 3.5 3PM 2019-2021 Per Game: 25.2 PTS | 4.8 REBS | 4.5 ASTS | 1.2 STLS | 0.5 BLK | 47% FG | 38.7% 3FG | 2.6 3PM - Last 3 Seasons
FG% by Distance: 73% in 0-3 Feet | 53% in long 2s
Defensively, it is observed by a lot of analysts that his defense is better this season than in the past. It all starts with effort. His Per36 contested 2PA is @ 3.2, Ben Simmons is @3.3 (just for context). His Per36 contested 3PA is @ 3.5, same with Paul George.
Comparisons: (two players who are also the best player of non-playoff teams in the last several years) 32.8 PTS | 5.0 REBS | 4.5 ASTS | 1.3 STLS | 0.6 BLK | 47% FG | 33.3% 3FG | 2.5 3PM - B. Beal (soon to be rated 89 or +) 23.8 PTS | 3.7 REBS | 4.2 ASTS | 1.0 STLS | 0.4 BLK | 48% FG | 35.5% 3FG | 2.2 3PM - D. Booker (88) - One thing is clear, Zach is more efficient than them. And in terms of physical attributes (five attributes!) he should also be better, overall.
Suggestion: 87
Build Suggestion
OAware: +8 FG: +8 3PT: +13 Ins. Scoring: +6 Passing: +10 FT: +4
DAware: +4 DReb: +7

Real question, is Zach Lavine better than Devin Booker? Comparing their career trajectory, stats, and the fact that they've both played on bad teams, I think it's hard to tell. Lavine is having the best year of his career and the Bulls aren't complete garbage this year, meanwhile it's interesting to me that Booker looks to be regressing a bit now that he's finally on a good team.
I'll be honest and say I don't watch enough Bulls and Suns games to have a strong opinion on this, but they look awfully similar to me.
I guess I'll say 87.
