Wesley will be signing the following deal with the Kings:
Year 1: $1,262,000
Wesley Mathews had 3 amazing suitors for his services. We would like to thank Boston and Utah for putting offers in for my client. Even though Wesley turned down more money and a starting position in Utah, he would prefer to be on a team to compete for the world championship this year and test the market at the end of the year.

Welcome to Sacramento Wesley, you'll be a great addition this season! Ian Noble this completes the signings for trade with pacers!

Sacramento is over the hard cap and signed a player for more than the minimum. I don't think Matthews should be on his roster.

Thanks for checking Tom Izzo, but this deal was - just barely - legal at the time. After the DeRozan trade the Kings salaries were at $162,447,442 which allowed a signing of $1,262,000 from the Kings MLE, bringing the total team salaries to $163,709,442 - a mere $558 below the Hard Cap. Jae'Sean Tate's league minimum signing would've been allowed anyway even though it brought the Kings over the Hard Cap because it was a league minimum.
