LeBron only received two offers, the Celtics and their perennial rivals, the Lakers. While LA would be an interesting destination, their team simply can't compete with what Boston can offer. Legacy is obviously very important to LeBron, and adding to his three D5 championships is one of the best ways for him to build the case that he is the greatest basketball player of all time. Sticking with the younger, elite core the Celtics have built will complement LeBron well as he focusses more on the playoffs and titles rather than racking up wins.
