On the same day their GM gets fired, Utah has been eliminated from Playoff contention!

Mark Price has to be standings watching now, as he’s got both Indy and Chicago’s 2020 1sts with those squads teetering in playoffs out East. Could have three lottery selections!

Who? Who wonders? I haven't seen anyone wondering 😂
LA has lured 4 top 10 players in the last 2 years. The allure of LA is a big advantage. LeBron joined the Lakers when they were a lottery team. Anthony Davis made it super clear he wanted to play there.
Kawhi left a championship team to go to LA. Paul George joined him.
The Clippers are out of the free agency race this summer. If the Lakers want Kawhi and George I find it very hard to think of them not signing there.

But having said that, they ain't gonna want to play with rookies. Flip those picks for some veterans.

Those two joined a team that featured a young center with upside (Zubac), two Sixth Man of the Year types (Harrell and Lou Will), an elite perimeter defender (Beverly), and at the time some interchangeable wings (Harkless and Robinson). Not really seeing any of those enticing options for LA right now, even if they have the location to sell

Paul George went to OKC management and asked for a trade to LAC. Kawhis signing was dependent upon George joining him in LA.

And Kawhi very clearly did not want to be LeBron's side kick. He reportedly waited until the last minute and toyed with the Lakers to screw them out of pursuing other players.

I thought this was well known... This shouldn't be news this late in the season. Kawhi reached out to PG about going to LAC and only signed after the trade was completed. These LA boys wanted to go home and team up.

Paul George requesting the trade to LA prompted OKC to go through the soft rebuild and trade away Westbrook as well.

Sorry I was tired last night, misread the post as saying he requested a trade there before Kawhi indicated he wanted to go there/team up. PG requested a trade away from a consecutive first round exit that never won more than 50 games lol. Not a Finals and ECF team that has only lost to the champion and won 60+ games both seasons. Not worried about PG leaving when I can offer him the monster max.

But having said that, they ain't gonna want to play with rookies. Flip those picks for some veterans. nope. Gonna go with LeBron, KPJ, and our three lottery picks. That's the title team right there.
