Send: Miles Plumlee - $7,456,471 Jawun Evans - $1,623,400

Boston CelticsReceive: Miles Plumlee - $7,456,471 Jawun Evans - $1,623,400
Total: $9,079,871
Send: Amir Johnson - $7,531,333 - $7,531,333 BOS 2020 2nd round pick
This trade works within the 125% rule. Amir Johnson may well be retiring this off season but I'm just making sure his salary is cleared from my books on the outside chance Lebron does not opt in to his Player Option this year.

I agree with him. Salary cap next year is in flux. Boston has a very good squad that allows LBJ to compete. Opting out with a declining salary cap could mean he takes a paycut to go a less competitive team. Now, I don't know if LeBron would want to play with Joel Embiid and Jaylen Brown, or even Ben Simmons, in real life. But that roster is definitely the best case scenario at this moment, in my opinion.

LeBron will be 36 next season and, based on career minutes, is about to enter uncharted territory as the youngest guy to 50k career minutes. Those aren’t easy ones he’s played either. Is any team really going to want to do a 3-4 yr max for a 37 yr old, 52-53k minute LeBron in 2021? I’d argue no.

Technically under the CBA I don’t think he’d be eligible for a 4 yr max— I think that’s capped at age 36. So if he wants max years, he’d need to opt out

That's an interesting point to consider actually. But LeBron has always taken the 1-2 year deals with POs

I too think LeBron would have an outside chance of signing with a place he's on record saying he hates and threw trash at his son. Oh wait, you said the outside chance he doesn't re-sign. Nvm.

Did he really say that about Boston? Before or after signing with LA?

Did he really say that about Boston? Before or after signing with LA? Way before. Him going to the Lakers marks an all time low in the hostility.

LMAO probably the worst take I have ever seen on D5 someone pls frame this To each his own, but I wouldn’t sink that kind of money into any player— even LeBron— at that age and workload. For every Tom Brady, there’s way more guys who fail at those later stages.
