The New Face of Charlotte's BenchWith Paul Silas out, the Bobcats owner Michael Jordan and his new GM, Lucas Lutkus had a meeting and after a few days named the new head coach of the Charlotte Bobcats: Dennis Rodman! The hall of famer will debut in a coaching staff and is very excited with his new job. Playing small forward in his early years before becoming a power forward, Rodman earned NBA All-Defensive First Team honors seven times and was voted NBA Defensive Player of the Year twice. He also led the NBA in rebounds per game for a record seven consecutive years and won five NBA championships (1989, 1990, 1996, 1997, 1998). His biography at NBA.com states that he is "arguably the best rebounding forward in NBA history". Rodman has already named his coaching staff: Mugsy Bogues (assistant coach) Gheorghe Muresan (fitness coach) Luc Longley (assistant coach) Ron Harper (offensive coach) Aaron Gray: a new bobcat? With a trade on the way, Aaron Gray can be a bobcat on the next few days. In a trade that has Eduardo Najera and 2013 2nd round pick sent to the Raptors, Aaron Gray would come to fill the gap of a dominant defensive backup Center that the Bobcats need, according to GM Lucas Lutkus, Mullens isn't a good defensive center yet and Gray can be a good rebounder and shot blocker with the Bobcats. Aaron Gray has player in the Bulls, the Hornets and the Raptors in his career and averages 3.7ppg, 4.0rpg in 12.5 mpg. He's 27 years old and 7ft0. That's it fellas, stay tuned for the next Bobcats Report after the start of the season against the Chicago Bulls! See ya!

TSN: Can you describe the relationship between Michael and Dennis? Also what other coaching choices were out there? I'm sure MJ would have hired Kwame Brown if he was available.

TSN: Can you describe the relationship between Michael and Dennis? Also what other coaching choices were out there? Michael and Dennis have a great respect for each other, they won a lot of championships together! They were, along with Pippen, the trio that made the Bulls the champions, so MJ trusted Rodman to be his partner again and try to make the Bobcats a title contender. The other options were: Luc Longley (hired as assistant coach), Don Chaney, Kęstutis Kemzūra, Lenny Wilkens and Don Nelson.
