Current: 74 I’m gonna go ahead and put in my 2nd stock watch for Coby this year. He’s been on a tear since February, actually having been named the Eastern Conference ROTM. His stats for the month of February: www.nba.com/amp/bulls/news/coby-white-named-kia-nba-eastern-conference-rookie-month20.1 pts / 4.0 reb / 4.1 ast / 1.0 stl He has continued his streak through the month of March, putting up 23.6 pts / 3 reb / 5.6 ast Suggested rating: 79

He’s definitely turning a corner, but overall his stats are not great. 39/35/79 shooting splits for a guard isn’t getting it done, and he’s currently 81st out of 86 qualified PGs in overall RPM. He’s also a -2.7 BPM, plus he’s been a -4.8 for net rating this season. He’s got a bright future, that’s for sure, but I don’t see a guy who is a high 70s player yet.

His shooting splits the last month or so have been around 51/49/93 with averages of over 20/4/4. That’s why I put the stock watch in.

The point is how they're currently playing over a stretch, isn't it? I'm not saying 12 games is or is not a good determining number, just that the argument X > Y is kind of pointless. Whatever metric you personally use to determine a true value increase is up to you, but the entire point of a stock watch is to rate their current value, not historic value.

I get it, but I don’t think 12 games is really enough of a sample size— I’d want to see it over at least 30+ to ensure it’s not just a hot streak but real improvement.

A big difference between his 12 games and 51 or so games is that he is now averaging 31.8 minutes versus 23.8 minutes. His role has obviously shifted in the past month, and has been given the green light, and it shows.

Daily Coby White update - Game 13: 21 pts, 8 ast, 6 reb, 1 stl Good stat line until you see he took 21 shots to do it and was still a net negative by +/- for the game. Game to game +/- is misleading, but he still was a poor percentage to get that line.

Game to game +/- is misleading, but he still was a poor percentage to get that line. He has improved significantly. That’s the argument. I’m over here giving you statistics over the course of 13 games but you point to one game as evidence. I would assume that when you play a significant amount of minutes and your team loses, it’s gonna be a net negative. +/- is one of the worst statistics known to man
