Just saw in that trade thread he’s still an 83, surprised no ones made a thread yet. He’s having a pretty poor year compared to last year. His PER is down from 20 last year to 15 this year. Dudes averaging 12-7-4 on 44%
Current rating 83 Suggested 80.5

Can someone chime in re: if this is really Horford's fault? The man is a Center and I feel like Philly is not putting him in a good position to succeed.

I agree to an extent but we have to go by what they are doing irl. He’s shooting 10% worse from the field 5% from 3 and 6% worse from the line compared to last year. He has regressed in every way imaginable and playing more minutes than last year.

I’m kind of with James in regard to Philly being a cluster fuck but...we just had something similar pop up with Burcs SW on whether or not solid stats on a garbage team meant he shouldn’t get a boost, so I think we have to remove the team dynamic here and look at the numbers. To Jared’s point, he has regressed, and probably isn’t a 83 anymore.

If you actually examine his current attributes. You will see that it is already a good representation of what he is.
He can score inside, midrange, beyond the arc. He is a very good passer. He can create plays for others. He can handle the ball. He can rebound. Defensively, he can steal and block some and of course, he is a good defender, on and off the ball.
He needs a lot of attribute points that is brought by the overall rating. If you look at his current attributes, how are you going to distribute that 30 points decrease that you are suggesting?
I even think that he deserves additional points on his 3PT and passing.

Then here we go with this crap Do I agree with the trade hell no! But regardless as soon as someone does a trade their is always someone that stock watched the players to be Petty!
Horford is still a 83 Has he had a down 50 games sure, he's in Philly with good players and now some extra drama on top Give the man a break you stock watch vultures

When someone’s playing dramatically worse on both offense and defense with more minutes per game I think that’s the pure definition of a decrease

When someone’s playing dramatically worse on both offense and defense with more minutes per game I think that’s the pure definition of a decrease It's not always a pure definition Horford has always been the main bigman on all his previous teams, and now in Philly he's a pf trying to adjust to being on a new team and playing a different style It's been 50 games and he's only dipped slightly He's a 83, if he was playing like his old self he'd be a 85 or higher It takes players and teams usually a year to get used to a new team, and roles on a team so they can help or not! That's a fact, and if you don't believe that listen to espn in the mornings and all the old schoolers that used to play in the NBA all say it! People are entitled to whatever opinion they want! And imo he's still a 83

FYI this would be his second stockwatch of the year and thus he cannot be lowered again if he is. I still don't think he needs lowered however.

I'm comparing his stats from 2017/18 season because he was playing a ton of PF with Baynes and his stats were much better. He was rebounding better, which is gonna go down with Embiid and Simmons so OK yeah whatever. But he's been just trash from 3 compared to that and last season. I'll say 82 knock his 3pt down.
