I was really hoping Bojan was gonna get to FA with a shot at being poached, but this likely kills that dream. Well played on both fronts

Great trade for Indiana.
Memphis got really scary right now, Teague is definitely not 80 but that start lineup with Bertans and Satoransky of the bench is scary.

I'm very very surprised that Jeremiah wants to make this deal, I think he's getting shafted.
Veteran GM though, so I accept.

Are there BRs on Bojan?

The best I could find is he was signed to Denver in the 2017 OSFA period to a three year deal— which would mean since it wasn’t rookie level or the first year when he was dealt in this situation, it would not carry BRs. On the flip side, Memphis will have at least $50 MM plus in cap this upcoming OSFA cycle even with a KAT BRs hold

There's soem potentially interesting ramifications of Jeremiah trading for a forward. Position-wise it takes the Grizzlies out of the Paul George sweepstakes, and possibly points to the Grizzlies (smartly) targeting Kemba / Westbrook / Kyrie / Curry instead. With LeBron in Boston, and the Grizzlies' front court set, two main competitors for Paul George have taken themselves out of the running. That pretty much just leaves Brooklyn, San Antonio, Los Angeles teams, and maybe an outside shot of Milwaukee as competitors for PG.

We should track bird rights better. Any reason why they arent tradeable? If the player has been with the same team for 3+ years their BRs should be transferable.

The main thing is the rookie contract I thought.
I assume that even if a rookie is signed mid season to their first contract that counts. If not I'm still happy with the deal.

No, its the same thing with another one of my guys. He was signed midway through his rookie year. He is on the last year of his first contract. However, we only count draft contracts as their first rookie contracts.
