Changes to just one individual rating like 3PT will also change each of these player's Overall Rating, so I wonder whether we really should process rating changes to just one single rating, given that OVR could also increase/decrease alongside it. By my understanding 3PT is a relatively methodical rating change for Walt Frazier to make, it's based on real-life 3PT%, but we have to be sure whether we're also ok for each of these player's OVR rating to change alongside it.

I have a rough equivalency based on RL 3pt%, with more or less weight depending on how long they've proven they can keep up their %'s (especially the 40%+ shooters - I like to see it a little longer before going too high, basically).
But yes, that's probably the bigger question. We can either:
A) Simply adjust the 3pt ratings and let their OVR fall where it does or B) Adjust the 3pt ratings and allow me to disperse or steal from wherever I choose...
Option B is basically just a Walt-based rating change so we might as well just make threads for all of them anyway...

Neither Embiid, Rondo, Holiday or AD score 2 3's a game and when they shoot neither are that good at it, not sure if they need a change. 80 3PT for a 36% shooter seems good enough for D'Angelo . Hield doesn't deserve to drop down based on 30 games.
Obviously this is my opinion and all relative

Here's roughly how the %'s line up in my current ratings (remember, I don't process every player every year so there may be some discrepancies, but this is my current scale):
60-69 Rating = 31 through 33% shooters 70-79 Rating = 34 through 36% shooters 80-89 Rating = 37 through 39% shooters 90+ = 40+% shooters, with more or less weight depending on how long they've established themselves as 40%+ guys...
That being said, people shooting below 31% do start to get goofy. Partially b/c many players who shoot less than 30/31% aren't encouraged (usually) to shoot that many 3's. So, depends if it looks like a goofy down year, or if they're a big man in year-1 of a (potential) upswing, or a few other factors, maybe they're a rookie and all %'s are down...
Doesn't mean I give a 28% shooter a 50 rating automatically, even though that's what the scale would roughly be.
