l o l . . .
This GM tryout period is not working out IMO.
There's a lot wrong with having multiple GMs attempting to trade their players, while simultaneously putting out decrease threads for those same players when 1) before the trade has been approved, 2) when the trade still needs an entire month of queuing to be processed, and 3) when the GM has not been approved as the GM of that team.
In regard to this specific thread, I always advocate for giving more time for players who are transitioning to new teams. He's played 20 games. His last season in MEM was absolutely deserving of his 86 rating.

His last season in MEM was absolutely deserving of his 86 rating. Regardless who gets the team, Conley has seriously declined and is always hurt You can see him at a 86 all you want but he will never sniff that again, new team or not! Have you seen him play lmao And honestly your right the trial period doesn't work that good 1st off waiting 30 days while a team continues to lose, and nothing can be done is completely frustrating to the point of feeling like something needs to be done, and should be. I don't understand why the people who are most active and have proved themselves in some sort of way, and been on the waiting list aren't awarded the team imo This rockets team is going to be 10 games under .500 before someone can do something to help them with players getting stockwatched even lower with bloated contracts so they will never be moveable and the team will basically be forced into a full blown rebuild! Maybe my suggestion of 80 is a little low but Conley should not be higher than a 82 period. The way he looks on the court, and this new hip injury, along with his injury 2 years ago I can easily see a Isaiah Thomas situation on the horizon very quickly Furthermore

Aren’t you in competition to take over the Rockets? Why make this thread? I’m so confused.

He’s hanging around his career averages. 80 is kind of disrespectful. I’ll go 84

To prove a point of why he needs traded asap bc he's terrible, also it's not like it wouldn't have happened anyways! I'm not going to sit back and act like he's a 86 regardless if I'm in competition for the rockets or not It's called being honest and if everyone is going to start stock watching people than let it be done

I can't sympathize with Tom Izzo enough here LMAO
1) This makes no sense. Even if you believe that Conley has dipped and will never recover, SOMEONE ELSE MIGHT BELIEVE THAT HE WILL START PLAYING LIKE NORMAL, and avert a ratings change. This only makes a trade harder for you or any other GM.
2) It's absolutely unfair to allow a GM to make a trade with one rating, and then start a thread lowering that player's rating as to undoubtedly make it harder for the competing GM to make a trade as good as the one already submitted. It's like closing the door behind you.

1 more month of this and Conley was being brought down anwyay Sure, maybe. Maybe not. But instead of having some time to get creative and have a negotiating edge with ratings, let's go ahead and sabotage all of that. This dude clears house AND then immediately starts a decrease thread on a player he hypothetically traded, all the while not having full control of the team. All he has done in 3 days is decrease the value of the Rockets and any owner who takes over that team is starting off, somehow, a leg lower than they would have just a few days ago. For someone claiming...what was it, "not to be a idiot" - you sure are making quite the opposite case. I'm sorry Amare, nothing against you, just frustrating to be caught in this application process with you twice in a year and have the exact same results occur each time.

I should definitely slam the door in any other competition so they cant make a better trade Why would i help someone im in competition with, that makes absolutely no sense for me not to And lets not act like draymond wont be lowered as well even though their are reasons hes playing worse this year. Plus this comimg from the guy who some how kept pg13 while way over the hard cap lmao

Well that would be me, but it's always a application process And it's not irrelevant of your 183 mil+ cap with George opting in, you slammed the door on the east with that correct Even though you should have lost him! But hey that's your deal

Whoever thinks I capitalized on Conley being a 86 is kidding themselves! If that was the case I would have got a much better deal. It was about depth, balance, and saving some cap period! I guess I hurt starting center Jared sullinger value as well with that trade It's about making the rockets better that's it, and if you can't see that than your blind

I would love to have a fair trial (even though I think trials have proven TWICE to be a terrible idea) and help each other. Instead, every action you take just hurts the perceived value of the players to be assumed. 2) Same amount of time and opportunity. Yes. A whopping, what, 48 hours? Bro, come on. It's clear you feel rushed and pressured into making trades instead of taking time to find quality and well-thought out deals with a long term plan in mind. My advice is to be more patient. Let things develop a little bit and don't settle on trades. If you think I haven't been talking to guys here and I've just been sitting on my behind, your assumption is wrong. The difference here is I haven't agreed to anything because it hasn't been to the betterment of this franchise, yet.

You can't run both teams haha...or am I missing something? It's a weird situation bc the kings are ghaznys, but I basically run them bc he's got alot going on and I'm not sure if he's coming back Believe me I'd much rather be the gm of the kings than the rockets especially since I helped create them but it would suck to lose that if ghazny decides to come back so it's a tricky situation and maybe I shouldn't apply for the rockets bc of it I just want my own team one way or another

Ian Noble please place this thread in trash as I don't want Tom Izzo or Steve Nash to feel like they have a disadvantage bc of me, I will let someone else decide the stockwatch of Mike Conley, and I will not vote when he is stockwatched My apologies!
