I'm seriously curious how you rate Howard a 76, but Marc gasol a 81 when gasol has worse numbers playing more minutes?🤔🤔🤔

80.5
Shooting 72% from the field, pretty insane. Has a killer Dtrng and net rating. Playing very well IMO albeit within his limited role, which is what people always wanted from Dwight. Per 36 numbers are 12 and 12 with 2.5 blocks.

Last year Gasol was a main piece in the team that won the title, Dwight Howard barely could get a contract. Imo, sometimes numbers don't say everything and Gasol is one of the smartest players in the league and he could be a starter in almost every team that is contending for a championship this year. To put thing in perspective Gasol is still one of best big man passers and can shut down guys like Embiid on defense despite his declining atheleticism. So to me: Passing -> Gasol Shooting -> Gasol Defending -> Gasol Basketball IQ -> Gasol I think Dwight is a bit overhyped for playin on the Lakers and managed to keep his numbers ok because he always play with bad teams the last few years. He fouls a lot, isn't a fifth of the defender he used to be and he is really dumb with the ball on his hands. Dwight has one good skill and that's his rebounding right now. He shoots 50% from the line and the unsasteinable 72% from FG is 90% due to LeBron. Since we don't even take into account the "Dunking" skill in our ratings, 76 should be enough to give him good rebounding and inside finishing. Edit: Just to give an example Kuzma plays the same defense a chair would and he is rated 80 and shot 30% from 3 last year. Media makes an impact on how you perceive a player

Amare Stoudemire we are 25 games off Gasol winning a title where he was the Raptors 2nd most important player against the Bucks and Sixers. It's just my opinion, Howard advanced stats are influenced by only dunking the ball and playing in the best defense in the NBA, if he is so good why isn't even starting over JaVale McGee who is a 76? They literally have the same role, and I think they have similar value. If you want to go merely by stats how could you vote 76 for Thomas Bryant and 80 for Dwight? It's just opinions and not everyone sees basketball the same way. It wouldn't be fun if we did.

70% ts is quite good but he's got a sky high turnover rate. Amazingly Dwight's block rate is at a career high.
The Lakers have counter-intuitivly been better with Dwight and Anthony Davis at c and pf than with the brow at center.
