Current: 80 Proposed: 87 Ingram's ridiculous improvement actually started last year with the Lakers where he averaged post all-star break: 27.8ppg 7.5rpg 2.4apg It's carried forward into this season where statistically at least he's now a Top 20 player, averaging insane numbers: 25.0ppg 7.0rpg 3.7apg The only players to post those numbers age 22 or below are listed here: More than that - he's doing it on supreme efficiency: 49.6/40.8/83.8 shooting. In comparison, checking out Gervin's Doncic thread, Doncic in comparison is shooting 48.1/32.6/80.3 (Doncic however doing it with much more usage and god-tier stats). This isn't some flash-in-the-pan performance either, the season is almost 1/3rd done, we're 23 games in now. YES the Pelicans suck this year but Ingram's managing to be the primary focus of every team's defense whilst shooting the lights out.. The only players to post Ingram's stats and have a field goal percentage above 49% are listed below ( bball-ref link): Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Wilt Chamberlain David Robinson Michael Jordan LeBron James Kevin Durant Shaquille O'Neal Tim Duncan Charles Barkley Oscar Robertson Karl Malone Larry Bird Giannis Antetokounmpo Julius Erving Bob McAdoo Alex English Anthony Davis Karl-Anthony Towns Brandon Ingram I would liken Ingram's current output to Devin Booker's last season. Booker put up similar stats but only shot 32.6% from 3PT, compared to 40.8% for Ingram. 86 rated 22yo Booker: 26.6ppg 4.1rpg 6.8apg on 46.7/32.6/86.6 (team win pct 0.232) 80 rated 22yo Ingram: 25.0ppg 7.0rpg 3.7apg on 49.6/40.8/83.8 (team win pct 0.222) It's time to show this long boi some love.

He's been balling out. I'll go with 84.5

You want me to post a Trae Young thread? Nah I just didn't think he was very good last year and his rise this season is primarily based upon a huge jump in both volume and percentage from 3. Im skeptical for now. If he keeps the shooting up through the all star break then I'll believe it

I like Ingram, but it's hard to put full weight into his 25 and 7 stat line when the Pelicans are so bad. Can't really deny his more efficient number though, he's playing well.

83.5 if we waited a bit longer I’d match all the 85s

85 same exact issue with Booker, defense cancels out his offense.

Maybe if this thread is open for long enough the consensus will keep dropping until Ingram actually receives a rating decrease lol

Gasol: 6.6ppg | 6.6rpg | 3.4apg Ingram: 25.3ppg | 7.1rpg | 3.7apg Hanamichi Sakuragi you really shouldn't post after smoking that much weed my man. Two different players. Ingram's usage is 29%. Gasol is 12%. Ingram is being fed in a bad team. Gasol was boxed in a role in a good team. Yeah. I have started to put those things to consideration and whether you agree with me or not, that is in you now. Just remember, numbers alone doesn't accurately tell the skill level of the players. You can continue to live in the world and a lot of people here are but at the very least, let me live outside of it to give another perspective to this stockwatch scheme. Unless, you want to simply make the ratings a mathematical calculation already?

Did this get closed? My main reason for not going higher was caution regarding his ability to sustain these numbers but in the month after this was posted/my vote he's arguably been even better, which is crazy. Edited my post from 84.5-87.

He just got processed to an 85. Your 87 likely wouldn't have bumped him higher, there were a lot of votes here. But yea... THREAD CLOSED - Ian Noble
