Jabari Parker has agreed to a 1 year contract to stay with the Celtics worth $20,000,000.

Year 1: $20,000,000

A few teams were interested in Jabari and they offered longer term deals in the $6m-$9m range. The Celtics were committed to keeping him and proposed the idea of one big year. This $20m offer, being more than double the annual salary of other options, allows Jabari to cash in immediately and then hit FA again next year where he should have similar market value. We believe this compromise serves the interests of both the Celtics and Jabari, and so he's happy to return to Boston.
