While we’re on the point guard stockwatch parade, might as well add Kyle Lowry to the pile. To frame up Lowry, some key stats below:
Right now, he’s an 89. I’m going to take his playoff performances out of the equation, but if we’re gonna ding CP3 who is better across the board for dropping, we have to give Lowry the same look.
Recommend he’s dropped to an 84
- BPM has declined for three straight seasons— especially on offense — to 3.1 overall
- Raw counting stats outside of his assists this season have all been in decline during the last three years
- Shooting splits have declined to 41/34/83, with that last number misleading as he takes only 3 FTs a game which has declined sharply from his near 7 FTs a game in 2015
- His minutes have actually gone up over the last two years as his stats have declined, which doesn’t give confidence his drop off can be attributed to less touches or playing time
