With Booker out for the season now, I guess I'll put him up for his yearly post. I'm not going to drown you in analysis. I think everyone knows Booker and any arguments one way or the other can be summed up in a few main points, and your rating is probably going to be based on how much you value each of those points. Pros:- Scoring - Playmaking - Efficiency Cons:- Plays on bad team - Defense - Turnovers Yellow Highlights = Good this year Red Circles = Bad this year We all know that Booker has been insane since the all-star break. 31 ppg, 7 apg, 4.6 rpg, on incredible TS%. The Suns are about net 4 points better per 100 possessions with Booker on the floor. The bottom lineBooker has improved his scoring and passing since last year, now averaging 26.6 / 6.8 / 4.1 Booker has been at HoF offense levels since the allstar break, averaging 31.0 / 7.0 / 4.6 in 20 games The Suns are significantly better with Booker on the floor (+3.8 net points over 100 possessions) He still is not a positive defender, but has improved The Suns still suck I realize that this could be his last rating change until the Suns improve or Booker becomes a better defender, but his offense has truly ascended to new levels this year. My vote = 89

I think it's less of a con he plays on a bad team and more that he doesn't make that team better in any tangible way. Don't most of his 40+ scoring games end in losses?

Since the Allstar break (when all these huge games happened), the Suns have been outscored by 7.0 per game. With Booker on the floor, they are only outscored by 2.4 per game. They still lose, but he definitely makes them lose by a lot less.

Will probably be the best SG in the league in 3 years. Right now he has never made the playoffs (not entirely his fault but gotta take that into account), never made an All-Star team, never made All-NBA. He is a below average shooting percentage-wise wise, but to be fair only elite players are able to keep it high with Booker usage, and Booker isn't elite. His assist to T/O ratio is truly awful he is 3rd in the league in turnovers behind the league leader in assists (Westbrook) and Harden. And like everyone knows, plays close to 0 defense. He did take a step forward from last year so I'll vote one up to 86. But he isn't better than Ben Simmons or KAT in terms of what young players go, and he isn't at the level of Oladipo and DeRozan that are both an 88 in terms of SG.

Doesn't play defense and the team continues to lose. Probably top 5 worst defenders in the league. 85.

Yeah not at all convinced he's at the level of a high 80s. Outside of Trae this guy might be the worst defensive guard in the NBA. Also has many other flaws in his playmaking, shot selection, etcetera

Laughable that Devin Booker is getting ANOTHER unearned increase while D'Angelo Russell is sitting in the low 80's.

Yeah he puts up some nice stats, but his team is garbage and the only reason he's not the worst defender in the NBA is because Trae Young was drafted last year.
