Proposed Rating: 87
I'm going to get hate for this since it's the 2nd time this year I'm proposing an upgrade for Galo, specially after last time you agreed with me on the 83 rating, but ever since Tobias Harris left I feel now more than ever you can see how good he is.
Over the last 7 games (Clippers won all of them) Galo has averaged 26/6/3 on 59/51/85 (71%!!!TS) and this man is 6'10, that's crazy.
For the season he is averaging 20-6-2 on 46/44/90 almost joining the 50/40/90 club where he would be the tallest player ever doing so.
Not only that but unlike last time where there were still doubts about the Clippers, this time around they sit tied for 5th place in the conference with 10 games to go where they will have one of the easiest schedules in the league with no back to backs. He is the best player on what might be the 5th seed in the west.
Also despite knowing Galo is made of glass, this year he has only missed 12 games due to injury some of them were even just as precaution. Which shows how consistent he is on the floor when he is playing.
Just to leave some advanced stats, Galo ranks 14th in Offensive Box Plus/Minus,13th in the league in Offensive WS despite missing 12 games and 5th in Offensive Rating with all the players above him being centers who don't shoot more than 5 ft away from the basket. You can make a case he is a top 10 offensive player in the league this season. And he also ranks at 9th in TS%.
All this while having a solid PER of 20.7, the highest of his career.
I really feel like he is one of the most underrated players in the league and the main reason of the Clippers suprising season specially due to how effective he is with the ball (averaging only 1.4 TO per game despite scoring 20). And if Tobi got an 86, I feel like should get a little better, so I'm voting an 87 for him.
Edit: almost forgot but he only plays 30 minutes a night.
