I think, it is time to increase the rating of Zach.
CURRENT: 80
Per Game: 23.2 PTS | 4.3 REBS | 4.2 ASTS | 45.5% FG | 35.6% 3FG
He is having a career year in terms of points per game, rebounds per game and assists per game. The advance stats also showed an increase in ASTS% and BLK%.
Yes, his handle and decision making are not there yet but we should balance it out with the fact that he can really breakdown defenses of any kind.
My favorite improvement by him is his scoring at the rim. He increased his shot portion 0-3 feet from 31.8% to 40.1% and he is making 62.9% of those shots.
Is his defense really that bad?
Maybe not that VERY BAD because according to SYNERGY, his opponent only shot better by 0.2% with him as their primary defender. Even in hustle stats, Lavine was actually respectable. He averaged 6.3 contested shots and 1.8 deflections per game.
SUGGESTION: 83

Here are some more stats
Offensive: True Shooting: 56% EFG: 50.5% Assist to Turnover: 1.2 O Real Plus Minus: 0.47 (33rd among PGs) O-PIPM: -0.6
Defensive: DBPM: -1.7 D Real Plus Minus: -1.85 (86th among PGs) D-PIPM: -1.6
I couldn't sort O-PIPM and D-PIPM separately but overall Zach Lavine is 386th in the NBA in PIPM in between Jordan Bell and DeAndre Bembry.
So Zach has nice counting stats, is a pretty good finisher at the rim and an average to below average shooter, overall he is a league average scorer by efficiency. He is not a good facilitator at this point.
Almost every stat I can find says he is one of the worst defensive players in the NBA.
Many advanced stats also say he is not that good on offense too.
I'll go with 80 (which might be generous)

Steals and blocks can be attributed also but they have their own counting stats on their own. General ThoughtI hate this trend in D5 that averaging 22+ points is nothing special.. ONLY 30 PLAYERS did that in the last three seasons (including this one)! Doing that is BEYOND NORMAL. Thanks.

I think his stats and athleticism gets him the 82. Sort of gets him higher, but, he's doing it on a pretty poor team.

81. Somebody has to put up stats for that Bulls team. I'm not convinced he's as good as his raw stats. Obviously there's also his terrible defense.
