Also looking at their stats IDK if a team could fire a coach/trade players away fast enough. I don't see a player on the roster who'd be immune to a ratings decrease if we did it today.

As someone who lives in the DC area, the locals have turned on this team— John Wall in particular might need the Witness Protection Program at this point given the level of acrimony here for his effort/play. Beal is probably the only guy I’d consider “safe”— but he’s also the only trade asset that, if I’m another team, I really want.
I’d be amazed if they find takers for Wall or Porter, who next year will make a combined $65 MM— Wall will be Year 1 of his super max at $38 MM, Porter year 3 of his dumb max at $27 MM. And not to mention the Ernie Grunfeld trifecta of bad contracts from the cap spike year of Mahinmi ($16 MM), Jason Smith ($12 MM), and Andrew Nicholson stretched deal ($7 MM)

Reminder that Ernie Grunfeld has been the Wizards gm since 2003. 4th longest in the NBA

I'm just glad that there's no drama about anyone on the Hornets

How bad is Wall's contract on that super max? Like if WAS trades him today are they getting back an asset or would they be lucky to just find cap relief. A productive 28 year old owed 190 mill over 5 years, I'm having a hard time grasping the value of that contract.

Personally this team hasn't changed much in 3 years except for Scott Brooks being added.
