Jeff had a decision to make between the Rockets and the Lakers. Both were willing to offer the same contract. Playing time is a little tricky. The Lakers have TJ Warren, a SF (maybe part-time PF), playing PF, and Rodney Hood in their starting lineup. Jeremy Lamb could also play some SF and Ryan Anderson can obviously take PF minutes. Meanwhile, the Rockets have a guy named Giannis, but, as has been becoming common in D5, Charles is desiring to move Giannis to PF, Love to C, which opens up SF. Charles has just signed Iggy, but Jeff would have a chance to start, and if not, be the 6th man. I did consider Kent Bazemore being able to take some SF minutes, just like Lamb can on the Lakers, but all told, with Jeff's higher rating and the comments from both Charles and Mark about the roles they envision for Jeff on their teams, this became the right choice.
