 Memphis Grizzlies - JJ RedickJJ Redick has agreed to a 1 year deal with the Memphis Grizzlies worth $11,205,685. Year 1: $11,205,685 After a disappointing free agency where JJ did not get any long term offers near his expected value, JJ is pleased to sign with Memphis for a respectable amount and re-enter free agency next year. Hopefully the market will be more in his favour next time around. This upcoming season with the Grizzlies should also be an exciting one as the team is on the rise and has shown they can challenge the best teams in the west. |

As promised to both E'Twaun Moore and JJ Reddick I will be trading or cutting players to make these moves work. Justin Holiday and Jerryd Bayless on the block until before the season. Holiday has bird rights I believe (needs confirmation from Ian Noble) but I'm pretty sure it was his rookie contract which I think extends to FA who are created after the draft. Also considering including Jonah Bolden in these negotiations to sweeten the pot. Will take on a bit of salary for next season for wings and certain bigs. Thank you. Memphis is ecstatic to add such a seasoned playoff veteran to our team. We went right to the cap to get him and we feel it will be worth it. With a bit of development from our core and amazing role players such as Reddick, Ilysova and others we feel confident we can finally knock off the biggest foes in the Western Conference. |

The signing wasn't conditional on moving anyone. Memphis just has 16 players so they have to cut or trade a player by the roster deadline. |

During negotiations I pointed out I would move players to make room for E'Twaun and Reddick because there was worry about Bolden coming over. Turns out he signed with Philly and I want to sign him too so I would make some room. Was going to have to do this if I wanted to sign more than just Moore and Ilysova.
