Rudy received two offers this offseason, both coming in around 10-11 days into the Free Agency process. One included a starting position, which was quite tempting, however, for only minimum money. The other offer came from the Golden State Warriors for quite a bit more money, and the expectation of being the 6th man on an (obviously) highly competitive team. He's also likely to step into the starting lineup if any injuries occur. Rudy will sign the following contract with the 2-time defending D5 Champion Golden State Warriors: Year 1: $6,500,000 Year 2: $6,987,500 Total: $13,487,500 Congratulations to Chris Mullin & the Golden State Warriors Organization!

I swear to fuck if Otto Porter doesn't sign and one more player signs with GSW I'm gonna fly to England and punch Ian in the nuts.

If people are waiting on the "Rudy Gay's" of the league as their backup options, they damn well better have reached out by now and said they at least like the player. Otherwise I assume the offers I've received so far are pretty much all I'm going to get.
And, I have had multiple GMs on multiple different players give me a "hey, once this and that happens I may throw an offer at this player." Which is totally fine. Those also don't guarantee the player won't sign elsewhere since they haven't actually given an offer, BUT, damn people. If you don't want Rudy Gay to be signed for less than the MLE, at least say you like the guy.

A number of teams say they like the guy, but won't make a firm offer. Seems like we're all waiting for the Otto Porter and the Nicolas Batum type guys to sign first, which is perfectly fine and makes a lot of sense, but it does open the door for other teams to snag the second and third option players by making them a priority. It's been two weeks though, we need these bigger names signed quickly. Otto Porter's discussion thread is moving, but I'm not sure where many of the other bigger names stand. Once they go, everything should fall in place relatively quickly after that.

It's really kind of odd. 6 or 7 teams want Otto Porter, but I've only got two offers on Batum and NONE of those 7 teams have offered on Batum.... Poor planning? Or, just, none of those 7 teams like Batum, by chance?
