Golden State Warriors - Josh RichardsonJosh Richardson has signed a 5 year contract worth $87,500,000 to return to the back to back champion Golden State Warriors. This signing comes with a promise of being the starting SG. Year 1: $17,500,000 Year 2: $17,500,000 Year 3: $17,500,000 Year 4: $17,500,000 Year 5: $17,500,000 This ended up being a more difficult decision than expected as the New Orleans Pelicans made an excellent pitch to Josh to join them as one of their marquee players. As a 24 year old player that has already won multiple championships and been a part of the greatest teams in D5 history, this offer for more individual success was worth considering. However the Warriors made it clear to Josh that he is a very important part of their team and that his role is only growing. He became a starting player during this seasons Championship playoff run, and was promised this position will continue upon his return. Golden State also never hesitated as the bidding increased. They had no problem paying him a large contract that backs up their pitch to him. In the end the commitment shown from the team that drafted him was too much to walk away. Golden State is his home and he can't wait to try and complete the three-peat.

And the rich get richer because the assholes with cap space are sitting around waiting on Giannis and LeBron. Fucking wait. Josh Richardson will wait to see if he gets more money because teams miss out on other FA.

I know I just came into the league and I'm not sure about it, are you guys running a cap floor?

Also how do the rich get richer from a re-signing?

Wow, did Chris just ruin his LeBron chances by forcing him to play PF? This signing potentially has huge implications.

Welcome back Josh!
Also, I don’t see why this should have anything to do with LeBron re-signing. We literally just won the league championship playing that lineup and now for some reason it’s going to be an issue? If teams think they’re going to beat Charlotte with KD at the 4 next year by playing a slow traditional PF, they’re going to be most likely very disappointed with the results.

It's really not fair.

You offered $10m per season then said you could be in the market at a higher price but you need to wait first. All while New Orleans came out guns blazing and Golden State was keeping pace every step of the way. You didn't really express a lot of desire for Josh. You've been a player agent, you know how this works. Even if you had players of higher priority, you could have done more.

And I said as soon as some of the bigger free agents signed I would definitely be interested in making a more competitive offer.

For the record it's not THAT huge of a deal but the little differences in salary will make a difference eventually.
