OKC Trades:
81 Harrison Barnes 24,750,000 26,606,250 28,462,500 30,318,750 32,175,000
76 Willie Cauley Stein 2,254,200 2,874,105 3,914,531
2018 OKC 1st (25th)
Total 27,004,200 29,480,355 32,377,031 30,318,750 32,175,000
IND Trades:
75 Chandler Parsons 20,945,700 23,249,727 25,807,196 68 Tyler Lydon 591,836 763,035 934,234 67 Monte Morris 591,836 763,035 934,234 2018 IND 1st (11th)
Total 22,129,372 24,775,797 27,675,664
125% Rule: 22,129,372 * 1.25 = 27,661,715 (trade works under the 125% rule)
Reasoning: We move on from Barnes and WCS to get a bit younger and shed some cap space down the road. I would love to keep WCS because he has gotten better each year, but I feel this is in my best interest from a long term planning perspective. We take on Parsons who is pretty much dead money and doing nothing for Larry for the alleviation of cap two years early. Lydon and Morris were thrown in to make salaries work and I might up from 25 to 11 by swapping firsts with Indiana.

I had posted the same trade, so just moving it here.
Indiana Trades: 75 Chandler Parsons $20,945,700 $23,249,727 $25,807,196 68 Tyler Lydon $591,836 $763,035 $934,234 67 Monte Morris $591,836 $763,035 $934,234 11
Indiana Receives: 81 Harrison Barnes $24,750,000 $26,606,250 $28,462,500 $30,318,750 $32,175,000 76 Willie Cauley-Stein $2,254,200 $2,874,105 $3,914,531 25 Incoming Salary: $27,004,200 Outgoing Salary: $22,129,372 New Team Salary: $138,998,976
Oklahoma City Trades: 81 Harrison Barnes $24,750,000 $26,606,250 $28,462,500 $30,318,750 $32,175,000 76 Willie Cauley-Stein $2,254,200 $2,874,105 $3,914,531 25
Oklahoma City Receives: 75 Chandler Parsons $20,945,700 $23,249,727 $25,807,196 68 Tyler Lydon $591,836 $763,035 $934,234 67 Monte Morris $591,836 $763,035 $934,234 11 Incoming Salary: $22,129,372 Outgoing Salary: $27,004,200 New Team Salary: $119,562,839
I accept the trade. I am moving the 11th pick of this year's draft which is a downfall. I feel this is a great draft and there are some really good players there. I also have to take on the larger contract of Harrison Barnes. I do get to move the contract of Chandler Parsons, which equals out the money I will pay Harrison Barnes for the next two years. The plus side to Barnes' contract is that he is only 26 years old. I do get to keep a pick in this years draft, so I'll be looking for a steal in that pick hopefully. In this trade I also add Willie Cauley-Stein who I feel may be able to surpass the Kings' curse and become a quality player. I am hoping with the addition of Bagley to Cauley-Stein, Fox, Heild and Jackson that the Kings can actually turn it around and become the "super team" Vlade thinks they can be. This trade helps add depth to my big rotation, my youth group which now includes Portis, Allen, Valanciunas, Barnes, Mason, and Cauley-Stein. It also fills out my starting lineup I was looking for a 3 or 4, and I'll move Gallinari to stretch 4 and start Barnes at the 3.

Concerned about Kevin Hollis. Did he hit his head recently? KD and now this. Doesn't own his pick next year either

I save over 60M on the back end for a player I feel has topped out. I don't want to pay WCS when he becomes a free agent as he is older in turning 25 this year. Parsons contract really isn't a big deal at all to me. I also think Lydon has potential. Owning my pick next year is irrelevant as higher salary players are only going to get harder and harder to move as the hard cap comes down. Just my opinion, no one has to agree with it.
Also, maybe if I fuck up enough I can just switch my team like others have done.

By "fuck up enough" do you mean sign Andre Drummond, resign Damian Lillard, make the Kings a legitimate playoff team but decide to take over your favorite NBA team who just happens to be one of the worst teams possible, get the 2nd overall pick but trade up to 1st to secure Deandre Ayton who is potentially a franchise centerpiece? Good luck

Forgot to mention the Avery Bradley signing as well. Good luck.

I kinda agree with Kevin, you did some good things for SAC by resigning dame and drafting Bam. But you put the Kings in cap hell and stuck as a 6-8 seed for years to come. You traded Bam and signed Bradley to a meh contract. I don't mind that you did it because it brought sac to the playoffs, I just don't like that you switched teams after putting your team in that position

Salty cause you fell to #4 Nice one, it took a lot of skill to get the number 1 pick. Unfortunately you took Ayton over Doncic which will prove to be a big mistake. Have fun with Mathias Lessort and Alex Burke as your core

I'll accept...I am once again not sure this was the wisest order of events, or rather, the best timeline for these moves from Kevin, but he already started down this path with the Durant trade. He gives up the best or two best players right now by far in Barnes and WCS but he does get #11 and 60 million in cap space while moving players he doesn't personally like very much.
I could maybe have accepted this without 25 being in there but overall I'm ok with it based on each team's direction.
Accept.

That SAC team has the talent to win the crown.
Trust me, even 10 lottery picks may not be enough to build that team.

Personally, everyone is giving Kevin flack for this trade and I don't see it.
The best thing in this trade is the #11th overall pick.
WCS will be 25 and the Kings just drafted Bagley 2nd overall. They also have two good knees between Skal and Giles.
While WCS is the only player of those 4 that can play interior defense, anyone who watches basketball knows that interior defense only matters in the playoffs and the last 4:00 minutes of the game. The Kings won't be in the playoffs nor will they be in many games late for it to matter.
Harrison Barnes is an over priced Trevor Ariza in here.
The 11th pick IRL was SGA, and while he won't likely be there, there's vastly more potential with that pick than WCS or Barnes.
PArsons contract as an expiring might be decent.

I accept, but unless #11 turns out to be an all star I think Indy wins the deal easily.
