Accept, I already had no cap space this offseason so I don't mind eating a little more cap. I probably won't win that many games next year and not owning my 1st blows but getting my 2nd gives me a little incentive to lose

The fact that the Lakers gave up a lottery pick (that eventually became #1) to clear $23m in cap, during a time when trading expirings was still allowed, still baffles me. Even if the pick was #14 instead of #1, it was still giving up waaaaay too much value for $23m in cap space when half the league is tanking and willing to take on salary for some 2nds.

Thad is actually a useful player, but I get he's overpaid and Bryan wants to clear cap. PHX gets his own 2nd which does feel good. All in all this trade seems fine.
