For some reason I thought it was if you were over the cap at the time of the draft, not a year in the future. Obviously I do not want to give up my draft picks for next year. What stinks timing wise though is I do not get to find out about Jordan's contract before this deadline. Resigning Batum was a backup plan if, and only if, DJ opted out. Now, I risk losing both without compensation.
Clippers will renounce/decline Bird rights on Nic Batum.

I will announce Player Options either today or tomorrow (edit: or Monday)  The thing with losing draft picks: it has to be next year's draft because this year's draft will already be 9 days old on July 1st and a lot of picks will have been made. |

The Minnesota Timberwolves claim the Bird Rights to the following players: CJ McCollum (150% Cap Hold) Darren Collison (100% Cap Hold) Eric Bledsoe - If he Opts Out (100% Cap Hold) Last time I checked, Bledsoe didn't have a cap hold on my roster page. Which he should have since I claimed his Bird rights. ALSO, I think that would give me the MLE to spend, maybe? |
