We would like to welcome you all to the press conference of Anthony Davis! As GM of the Milwaukee Bucks, we can honestly say we are ecstatic to have Anthony Davis join this great organization and be the centerpiece of a franchise that hasn't had a legit force since Lew Alcindor left for L.A. We felt that this franchise needed some new blood and a rebuild was in order, but we never thought we could get as lucky in the draft lottery, to jumpstart our rebuild with such an amazing player. We would like to open up any questions you might have for Anthony Davis or GM Glenn Robinson.

What are you plans to put something along with the young duo of Brandon Jennings and Anthony Davis?

Great question Mr Bird.
No doubt we still have a lot to do in our rebuilding efforts and adding a player of Anthony Davis' caliber definitely helps out a lot.
We feel Tobias Harris and Ed Davis will also be a key component with our core group of players. We still hold 3 more picks in this years 2012 draft as well as two 1st round picks in 2013. We also want to add maybe one or two players via free agency that have good potential to breakout. With most of our roster expiring and having good draft selections, we feel we can add quality to this franchise without having to overpay and not break the cap space. It's going to take some time and patience, but we feel the overall product in the next few years will be one that can compete with the Miami's and the Boston's of the world.

Glenn: Of course getting Anthony Davis wasn't on your plans with Cleveland being the favorite to get the first pick. Was getting the first pick a change of plans on your rebuilding?
Anthony Davis: Cleveland Cavaliers got the Rookie Of The Year with Kyrie Irving, but still they were last place. Now Milwaukee Bucks is favorite to get the Rookie Of The Year award with you, do you think that the Bucks are going to be different than last year Cavs? Do you think you guys can go to the Playoffs this year?

Glenn: Naturally you want to win the lottery, just like every other team that didn't make the playoffs. However we felt confident enough that Davis could potentially fall to us. We need star players and we got that with Anthony Davis. It had little effect on how we were going to rebuild since we are starting from scratch and we're looking at best player available. We knew we wanted to go with a big man, and we had a few other players rated pretty high on our draft board, but at the end of the day we knew what we had in Davis and we hope he can help skyrocket our franchise into a top playoff seed.
Anthony Davis: Well I appreciate the fact that you think I could even be named Rookie of The Year. There's a lot of great talent out in this years draft class and I'm honored to be among the names mentioned with these guys. The Milwaukee Bucks have struggled for years to make the playoffs. I feel as a team, we can make some damage in the Eastern Conference and definitely be a playoff team. We still have some picks left in this years draft that I know will come in and help us out, and after talking with Glenn, I know he is going to try and do everything he can to add pieces around myself and Jennings to compete this year and years after that. I realize it's a rebuilding effort, and it'll take a lot of team effort to get the job done, but I have total faith that we can make the playoffs this year and beyond.
