Current Rating: 79
Suggested Rating: 84
TJ is currently averaging 19.6 a game on %50.1 from the field which are up from 14.4 ppg and %49.5 last season. He's taking about 4 more shots per game this year (12.3 last year vs. 16.2 this year) and has been able to improve on his FG%.
He has a really good inside game for a wing. And has increased his mid-range percentages. However, he is not shooting well from 3 and never really has, so this should already be accounted for. His defense is roughly on par with everything from last season.
So, why am I asking for 4 points in OVR rating? Because he is already underrated for what he accomplished last season. He is an athletic wing, so points are needed there. He plays decent defense on a piss poor defensive team. He scores at the rim at a great rate, which is no small task.
He is a very good player who's efficiency has increased as his volume has increased.
He is criminally underrated. Booker gets a lot of credit. And Bender and Jackson always get highlights and box score blurbs when they play well. But TJ plays well consistently.
I think this is warranted

He has improved his efficiency but he can’t create his own shot and isn’t really a legitimate 2nd option. His shot selection is better this year but that’s about it. This is actually his worse defensive year in the league.
I don’t want to make this about Booker, but Phoenix relies on Booker to do just about everything, being on the floor and making plays, and you’re asking to rate Warren above Booker. Watch a game where Booker doesn’t play but Warren does, and you’ll see what I mean. Warren just isn’t that good.
The Suns are bad, but Booker is rated an 83 and is clearly head and shoulders their best player. And if anyone tries to argue that then you simply just haven’t watched any games.
I think Warren is fine at a 78-79, he was probably a little overrated before but now his rating is appropriate. A comparable, yet much better player IMO, Otto Porter is putting up better stats on a better team and is only an 81.

He's a really talented scorer, but I'm not sure he does much else, he can't shoot the three, and I don't know about his defense.
Wings need more points though, I'll go 81. Him and Otto are very similar, with Warren scoring a bit more and Otto shooting better (I think Otto is worth an 83).

I agree with both James and Josh about Otto. In regards to Booker's rating only being an 83 and being the best player on the Suns, I think his rating needs to be revisited.
With that being said, I think Warren is a solid 80. At the end of the day, the Suns are garbage. Naturally, the decent players on the team will have good stats, just not convinced he deserves that high of a rating.

Just under 20 ppg on average efficiency, doesn't pass and is a somewhat good rebounder. Also doesn't shoot 3s. Fair free throw shooter.
Not sure he's really a good defender, stats say he's bad and Phoenix is not a good defensive team.

I think comparing him to Porter is good. But I def don’t think Porter is an 81, think he could be an 84

His game is fun but maybe not rating-friendly...have to look at him. I'll go 80

50% while shooting like ass from 3 is interesting. 82.

I thought 79 was generous for TJ. 84 is borderline all-star and that's definitely not happening for him. He plays 33 minutes a game and averages 1 assist and he obviously can't shoot either. I would prefer to have Robert Covington and I'm rating him a 79.
