Off Season Schedule[/i]
Below is a full breakdown of how and when everything will happen in the league over the next 3 months.

The draft lottery and the rookie draft will both happen during the playoffs. The draft will continue as the off season progresses - it can take a long time sometimes.

GMs have 2 weeks in which to pick up Team Options from Nov 14th - Nov 28th.

GMs have 2 weeks to re-sign their expiring players, or those players from other teams, during the Off Season Free Agency & Re-Signing Period from Nov 28th - Dec 12th.




Regular Season[/color] - Now until October 20th.[/i][/color]

[September 13th] - (March 16th)

• Current Date - this is where we're currently up to, as I post this thread.

[October 2nd] - (April 1st)

• Playoff Teams Trade Deadline - from this day forward, any teams who qualify for the playoffs cannot trade until after their playoff run has ended.

Playoffs[/color] - October 20th until November 21st[/i][/color]
[October 20th] - (April 19th)

• End of the Regular Season
  
• Playoffs begin.
  
• Draft Lottery begins - all 14 lottery teams have their draft position announced over the course of 14 days in order from bottom to top pick.
  
• Expiring Players Trade Deadline - from this day until the Off Season Free Agency & Re-Signing Period ends, teams cannot trade players with expiring contracts (note: pending this General Discussion thread.

[November 3rd] - (April 31st)

• Rookie Draft starts - all first rounders are automatically signed to their teams. Second rounders must be signed manually by each GM. Rookie contracts do not count against your Salary Cap until the start of next season.

[November 14th] - (May 13th)

• Dynasty Five Finals Begin.
  
• Team Options period begins - GMs may begin picking up their players team options.

Off Season[/color] - November 21st until December 19th.[/i][/color]
[November 21st] - (May 20th)

• End of the playoffs.
  
• Expiring players enter Free Agency pool.
  
• Trading resumes for all teams - excludes expiring players.
  
• Player Agents collude to decide which players with Player Options will opt-out.

[November 28th] - (May 20th)

• Team Option Deadline - players who have not been picked up by their team will enter free agency.
  
• Player Options - players who have declined to pick up their player options will enter free agency.
  
• Off Season Free Agency & Re-Signing Period begins - GMs compete to sign players with offers to player agents.
  
• Salaries progress to next season.

[December 5th] - (May 27th)

• Players agents begin making decisions regarding who signs where during Free Agency.

[December 12th] - (June 3rd)

• Off Season Free Agency & Re-Signing Period ends.
  
• Unsigned second rounders from previous year's draft enter regular season free agency.
  
• Regular Season Free Agency resumes - all un-signed players enter RSFA. Rookie contracts now count against each team's Salary Cap.

[December 19th] - (June 10th)

• Roster cut-down deadline - all teams must have between 12 and 15 players.
