Current rating: 84
Suggested rating: 88
His entire game has improved. I was hesitant to start this thread this early into the season, but he has shown a lot of consistency and has clearly taken the next step in his career.
14.3 ppg , 15 rpg, 4 apg, 1.6 stl, 1.3 blk, 54.4 fg%, 64.8 ft%
Career highs in rebounds, assists (massive improvement), steals and free throw percentage.

Hmm I could've sworn Drummond got his ass handed to him yesterday by a center you're rating 83... What could be the difference between these two big men I wonder? One of them doesn't play for your team does he?

Seriously though I'll vote 86 on Drummond and that's conservative, he's a beast that's redeemed himself since the off season, he was a smart/lucky pick up.

I'll stick with 84. He wasnt great last year, he played well below his rating. However I do acknowledge that he was revolutionized his game this season and has played like a monster. But it's only been 25 games. If he is still performing this well later in the season than I will be more than happy to raise him. I just think this is dangerous to raise him to star level based on such a small sample size

One of them doesn't play for your team does he? I knew you'd say something. I wouldn't say he had his ass handed to him, especially considering how you say he's an elite defender. Dre had 14 points on 4/8 shooting, 11 boards, 6 assists, 5 steals and 1 block. Although Embiid had 25 points, he did that on 7/21 shooting, had less rebounds (10) than Dre, 0 assists, 0 blocks and 1 steal. With that being said, if we get 41 games into the season and Embiid stays on the floor for most of those, I'll change my rating for him. I know we are rating players based on skill and not their health, but Embiid's sample size is so small it's just not fair to give him an elite rating yet.

I watch a lot of Pistons games and he has an inner beast that he's finally tapped into. I noticed here on D5 how early a lot of you tend to write off some of these players. After they reach around 23 or 24 years of age, a lot of you seem to think their potential disappears. True for some, not for others It's why I'm taking chances on Len, Lamb, Pope, etc. They're all still really young.

Should've been 82-83 last year, will put him at 85 for now. Too early for more.

Just up his FT for now. If that boosts him up an OVR point then he gets an 85.

Since it doesn't seem like he'll be getting a significant ratings boost any time soon, I'm proposing a rebuild. Looked at his player ratings and he could use some changes.
FG is at a 35 currently. He's shooting 53.1% from the field this season, with a 54.7% career average. He even had two seasons of shooting over 60%, but never a season below 50%. The fact that this rating is the same as his FT rating goes to show this needs an increase.
Marcin Gortat and Karl Anthony-Towns are shooting similar %'s as Dre. Their player ratings for FG are 66 and 80 respectively.
FT is at a 35 as well. This is an understandable rating based on previous seasons, but this season he is shooting 62.7% from the line.
Jusuf Nurkic and Steven Adams are shooting around the same % as Dre, and their individual FT ratings are 66 and 71 respectively.
Dre has also vastly improved his passing this year. He's dishing out 3.8 APG, but his current passing rating is a 10. He's 4th in the league for centers.
Marc Gasol and Nikola Jokic have similar APG in real life. Their passing ratings are 60 and 66.
I feel like those are the ratings that need immediate attention. If he continues doing this for the rest of the season, I'll be calling for an overall rating increase! He makes the Pistons relevant, and he's currently thriving in SVG's system.

Check his "Inside Scoring" and "Dunk" ratings, which is where a lot of Drummond's "FG%" is made.

Looked at Gortat's and KAT's inside scoring and they are 84 and 86. Dre's is 75. Hope that helps a little and I hope these things are taken into consideration.
