Pacers Trade- 78 Michael Carter-Williams $2,360,724
Spurs Trade-
2020 SA #2
I accept the trade.
We are looking to build as we compete. We bring in Williams because he played well within our group of players last season before we traded him. He actually did better at the starting forward position better than the rest of our guys. Him and Turner will be the backup to Gay and our starting guard. As you guys know, I am not a huge pick guy (mainly 2nd Rounders) and we are willing to trade a future 2nd for a young guy that could eventually make a name for himself as a backup IRL this coming season. He was let go by the Bulls IRL this season but just signed a short contract within the last week or so.
We look forward to seeing how well Michael improves IRL this year and depending on how he does we may try and re-sign him next offseason.
This trade keeps the team rebuilding, while still adding vet players to teach younger guys we bring in throughout the season and still allowing us to compete and hopefully making the playoffs barring major injuries to our starters.
We are still looking to make a few moves to figure out how to re-sign Jonas who is the Key big man our city needs to return to our playoff roster. Who knows what could have been if Rose was healthy for this past season's playoff run.
Adjustments are being made, and the future still looks bright with Thomas, Millsap, Gay.
There is a possibility that Evan Turner might be moved before the season or FA ends and if not probably by Dec sometime.
Best of Luck and Thanks to Larry Bird, who is doing a nice job of trying to rebuild himself within his resources.
Welcome Back MCW!!
