Well, I figure since we got started with discussing decreases, why not boosts?
Jeff Teague
-Off the bat, pretty decent NBA starter-sixth man. Not exactly wow-ing numbers, but 71 is way too low. I think 76-ish for now?
Luis Scola
-I just really think he deserves to be at least 80, could have had better numbers if he had a true star in the lineup IMO. Polished scorer, not a defensive slouch and decent rebounder, albeit not exactly stand out.
Avery Bradley
-Pretty good D, victim of stereotyping IMO because he's so small(I mean, 180 pounds - you're making over a million a year, get something to eat will ya). Decent percentages (almost .500 and .400 although he doesn't take the 3 very often). Maybe a cut under Teague at 75 for now, could be better if he continues to start.
Brook Lopez
-Deficient rebounding, but good scorer. should at least be 80 like Scola IMO.
Zaza Pachulia
- He posted 8 and 8, and pretty much just got overshadowed by Al Horford. I'd say he could start for a lot of teams around the league, better than a 73 for sure though. 76?
Jose Calderon
-75 is pretty low, He's posting one of the best AST/TO rates with Andrea frickin Bargnani as his best option. I think he should at least be in the same regard as say, Ramon Sessions at 79.
Kevin Seraphin
-Well yes, he's on my team. And what he did Post All-Star Break isn't sure to happen for next year, but he posted 8 PPG, 5 RPG and over a block per game last year, and averaged 14/7/2 when Blatche got kicked to the curb. He's also controlled his fouling enough to consistently get those starter minutes or at least, 20-25 MPG. I'd call him a 76 or whatever you give Tiago.
Marcin Gortat
- Deserves to be 80, maybe above. He scores, rebounds and defends like a top-level center, might fall off a bit with Nash gone, but he still deserves a boost for the one and a half season that he did finally get to start. I'd call him 82, close to Nene.
Goran Dragic
- Definite growth in his game over the years, smarter passer/scorer/ball-handler, 79-80 for me.
Courtney Lee
- Perfect roleplayer SG IMO, plays within himself, has a 3 Ball, decent FG%, good D and doesn't do anything particularly badly. 77 for me.
Tiago Splitter
-Well, he has his own thread, so I probably don't have to go over this anymore. 75 IMO.
Patrick Patterson
-Already decent numbers, even better per 36es, deserves to be above 70 at this point. 73-74?
Kyle Lowry
- Got overshadowed by Dragic as the year went on, but he was still a top-tier PG IMO. 80-82?
Aaron Afflalo
- Similar player type as Courtney, possibly a level higher. 79 IMO.
JJ Redick
- still averaging double digits, surprisingly improved D(though still pretty bad), not a 72. 75-76?
Zach Randolph
-Got injured, but after finally getting things together the year before, IMO should still get a boost - even if temporarily. His importance to that Grizzlies playoff run was undeniable, and even coming off an injury, managed to keep his rebound rate stable. 86 IMO.
Ian Mahinmi
-I'll miss big yawn, hoped he'd stay with the IRL Mavs, but alas, that was not to be. Upped his game enough to be a legit backup C though, so I think he should be separated from the scrubs with something like a 74-75.
Nikola Pekovic
- Good numbers, good partner for K-Love, underrated at 73. probably should be 76 right now, maybe 78.
Ty Lawson
- legit 82 right now IMO. 17 & 7 with good percentages, I feel like he's hit his ceiling but I'm no expert.
Greg Stiemsma
- I'd love to argue Per 36es for him, but he fouls at too high a rate to get those minutes. not a scrub C though, maybe 74.
So again, I'm not going to claim to be an authority. Just my opinions.
A few players I didn't put up but considered,
-Ivan Johnson (ATL)
-John Lucas (CHI)
-Ersan Ilyasova (DEN)
-Gustavo Ayon (DET)
-Marc Gasol (HOU)
-Jodie Meeks (NOH)
-Greivis Vasquez(OKC)
-Ryan Hollins(UTA)
-Matt Bonner/Kyle Korver/Marco Bellineli
I lumped the three together because they're pretty 1D players, but they're pretty good at what they do. All rated 72, I think they deserve to all be upped a bit though.
