Of course its going to be repealed. Of course its a law designed to protect poor people instead of rich people. Of course its a law specifically designed to prevent another banking collapse. Of course its gonna cause another banking collapse.
Its like republicans refuse to learn lessons experienced within this freaking decade. This goes in with ignoring lessons we've learned about marijuana (being cracked down on randomly by the Trump Admin) and climate change.
I used to say there were smart conservatives. But to be honest, if anyone is still supporting this conservative congress, this conservative senate and this conservative administration then they are stupid. Just plain brainwashed and stupid.

The Republican party is doing exactly what they want to do. They're not making some honest effort to benefit America, but then failing. They don't care about working for the benefit of America at large. They're a party for private, rich and powerful interests and they work to increase the power held by those interests. I think it's as simple as that. I don't believe they're interested in the issues faced by everyday Americans, or if they are, it's just to pander for votes, not to genuinely try and improve their lives. Any potential lessons are lost on them, because they're playing a completely different game.
As for republican voters, well yeah, I think they vote republican because they always vote republican and they couldn't imaging doing anything different. It's team politics where republicans are good and democrats are bad, simple as that. Any further details or facts don't really matter to them. Until that changes, the republican party will continue to be a bunch of amoral assholes.

This is very unlikely to pass the Senate. They almost certainly don't have the 60 votes needed

The Senate's tiebreaker is Pence.

The Senate's tiebreaker is Pence. They need 60 votes though, so at least 8 dems would have to support it
