No one is giving up a lotto pick for a guy who's game is entirely predicated on athleticism who also just blew his knee out. You're on crack Billy. I bet Lavine has a better career than 50% of the players taken in the top 8 in this draft. Wanna lay some money on it? you think so?

Are you really confident that Fox, DSJ, Isaac, or Markannen are gonna have a better career than LaVine? Smith yes Fox depends where he ends up and if he can improve the jumper Markanen possibly Issac is gonna have a long solid career but probably not as entertaining as lavine. Issac won't score as much eother

Why would I bet the house. I'd bet that at least one of them has a better career than Lavine, which makes the trade stupid.

One of them having a career better than LaVine doesn't make the trade stupid. If you honestly believe that then you'd win the trade 7/8 times, which would make you fucking stupid for NOT doing it.

If you honestly believe that then you'd win the trade 7/8 times, which would make you fucking stupid for NOT doing it. ------------ Here's the deal. Zach has already had a better career than most of the picks in the draft. That's how the draft works. Most players won't ever average 18ppg in a season. If only one of them has a career better than Zach Lavine that puts your chances of winning the trade at 1/8. Because you also have to choose between Zach and 7 other prospects. You have to pick the correct prospect as well. Then you run the risk of picking a clearly superior prospect to what Zach was at draft time also getting hurt, but earlier than Zach did. Derrick Rose, Gilbert Arenas, Danny Manning, Baron Davis, Brandon Roy, Penny Hardaway all guards ruined by ACL injuries. Some were a little worse than Zach Lavine but of all of these guys Lavine relies on his explosiveness the most (maybe Rose) and we've all seen how that's worked out. A bet on a well regarded rookie without a knee injury vs a guy who's had an ACL injury and entire game revolves around athleticism. Neither are a really good bet but we all know which holds more value in D5.

The 5th pick in the 2017 Dynasty Five Draft will go to: 5. Utah Jazz (DET)Which means yours truly got lucky again! The second year running! Boston Celtics move into the Top 3! But where in the Top 3 will they land?!?! Keep tuning into the Lottery to find out edit: at last my own pick wont be #4

Pick 5 is probably the hardest pick in the draft. Hope I can identify that 1/8 guy that'll be better than LaVine

I don't know who I'd take number 2 in this draft 1-4 are pretty set in stone in my mind, but the NBA will probably throw a curveball. Some rumors flying around that Philly would pass on JJ to take Fox or DSJ.

I think the top 5 in real life will be:
1. BOS Fultz 2. LAL Ball 3. PHI Tatum 4. PHX Jackson 5. SAC Fox
That's not who I think is best, but I think that's how it's going to play.

If Jonathan Isaac doesn't go top 5, everyone's made a huge mistake I'm gonna disagree on this one. I was higher on him earlier in the year but he didn't get any better over the course of the season and actually got worse in some aspects. His ceiling isn't that high and his floor is sooooo low. He reminds me of Aminu. But you like those guys, eh?

The 5th pick in the 2017 Dynasty Five Draft will go to: Hey Adam, Only someone who doesn't know what is going on would think that I lost that trade after getting the 5th pick. Edit: *note you didn't "lose" the trade either. Frankly whoever I get at #5 this year has a better chance to turn into something special than whomever I would've gotten with those picks if I had kept them. If you tank hard enough though, you can get someone better with each of those picks. Good luck.

While there is definitely some truth to what you are saying, it would have made me sick if you won the draft lottery with my pick. Due to your positive attitude, however, I will root for your pick to be #1!
