Magic Trade
77 Dennis Schroeder $1,658,850 $1,700,529 2018 LAC 1st
Nets Trade
78 Rodney Hood $1,379,900 $2,125,046 $3,030,316
I accept! Schroeder is playing very well this year but I already have my pg in Dunn. I do not have a small forward and I think Hood will be a great addition to my young core. I get bird rights on Hood and since schroeder only has 2 years on his contract ill add in a first from LAC.

I was a little hesitant to trade for Schroeder without bird rights, which is why I wanted the pick included. I'm sad to see Hood go, I actually really like him as a player and think Booker/Hood would be a sick combo going forward. MKG is my boy though and I couldn't risk losing him this offseason with Hood signed to the same position. He is actually younger than Hood and I am still super optimistic about his future. I hope he sees our commitment to him over the past 3 years, including this trade, and signs quickly with us this offseason. Welcome to Brooklyn, Herr Schröder!

Don't we have a 1 week moratorium on new manager trading?

This is what I like to call a Doc reject why Schroder is about to be raised to above an 80. You giving up a pick here is unnecessary. Rodney Hood is a budding role player, Schroder is a budding starter.

This is a trade of positions. Point guards are a dime a dozen... I mean look at me, I'm tanking and will have two 80+ point guards. Even Orlando has two PGs which is why he is trading one. A wing player simply holds more value in today's trade market.

New GMs must wait a week after being inducted into the league before submitting any trades. - Dynasty Five is a league which requires patience and rewards planning. Too often new GMs enter the league and trade away assets that have taken a long time to acquire, a week of induction gives new GMs the time to consider multiple trade requests and take stock of their situation before making any decisions.

Schroeder is average pg to me and Rodney Hood is a good young player and I don't have a small forward. Hood has potential Brooklyn wins this but still confused with the two pg approach. I assume Schroeder leaves when he is a free agent no matter what. We all know Jackson is all about his playing time .

Jared Montini we have the 1 week rule so that GMs don't rush into any trades, so it's an automatic reject on this one until you've had a week here. You should field more offers for Shroeder, hell I'll send you an offer, you could get a lot more I think.
