He's actually 17 now. #1 in the class of 2018. Here is RJ Barrett, the #1 player in the class of 2019. A 16 year old from Canada. He's our next superstar. I might tank for the 2020 draft to try and get him.

The Jazz fans understand The Process and enjoy it as much as I do. That's just what they tell you. They're Mormons, they're too polite to tell you they aren't interested in a team that will tank for an entire decade. We might have to cite "basketball reasons" to boot you out the door and install Vlade Divac as the new GM of the Jazz.

They'll thank me when they have a team of all stars, theyll even give me a pair of secret underpants That's true. You're off to a great start with Brandon Ingram, I mean Andrew Wiggins. Oh wait, no, you have Denzel Valentine, Timothe Luwawu and Gerschon Yabusele. I shouldn't forget Hollis-Jefferson either. He's... great... ok maybe not. But you had the 15th pick too! Oh, you took Giorgios Papagiannis. Ok never mind, just forget everything I said. Enjoy your #1 pick in the 2020 draft Andrei Kirilenko will look forward to signing Hassan Whiteside in the 2018 offseason.

I have his bird rights. He isn't going anywhere.

I really think that if you look at the Western conference it's absolutely stupid for someone with my team (even my team a year or two ago) to even try to compete. You can call me stupid as much as you want, but with teams like you and OKC and GSW it's stupid of me to not just try to assemble as much elite talent as possible for 2021-2022 when your guys window could close. The Players and Coaches understand, the fans can suck it.

I also really like Luwawu and Yabusele, not as much as Wiggins, but you know, they're still decent. I don't think it's good to tank for such a long time, you'll lose guys to free agency, your rookie scale contract players will hit free agency, and you still won't be ready. But whatever. By the way, there are fans protesting for your resignation in Salt Lake City right now.

By the way, there are fans protesting for your resignation in Salt Lake City right now. Yeah, no hard feelings. I see your point about losing guys in free agency, but if I offer them more money I don't think they'll leave, and I own everyone's bird rights. It'd take a Tim Duncan or Kawhi Leonard type shitstorm to make any of my free agents to leave. The only one that has a shot at leaving is Whiteside (because he is so fucking good), but his real life personality and actions in free agency really points to him signing in Utah regardless of my record. It's not like I'm not gonna offer him 30M more than anyone else will. I also think Ian likes the idea of RFA and will implement it soon enough that I won't have to worry about not having team control over my top 4 picks that I'm going to accumulate over the next couple years. When rebuilding you always wanna grab your depth first. They'll re-sign easily and cheaply. The last thing I needed was to hav to deal with 29 teams better than me offering Wiggins in a couple years.

RJ Barrett has reclassified to the 2018 recruiting class. That makes him a 2019 NBA draft class prospect now. Here he is putting up 38 points in Canada's upset of the USA in the FIBA U19 World Championships.

Can Reddish is the best guy in the 2019 group; has the AD effect in that he was a highly rated PG before a growth spurt. Now he’s a 6’9” terror at SF with PG vision and handles.
Bruno Fernando at Maryland is another guy to watch as a sophomore who should go top 5 if he keeps improving

Can't remember when I was this excited about rebounds
Duke are going to be very entertaining this year with RJ Barrett also on board.

Can't remember when I was this excited about rebounds Duke are going to be very entertaining this year with RJ Barrett also on board. I watched bits and pieces of this game, and despite the stat line for Zion, I do worry how he’s going to fare against players who are as athletic and strong as him that are actually very skilled. I see shades of Barkley in his play, but also a guy who just as easily could be a luxury version of Jason Maxiell/DeJuan Blair. Barrett, on the other hand, looks really impressive. So effortless in how he gets to the rim in so few steps and has that alpha mentality that some elite guys lack. The non-Duke freshmen though that I’m really interested to see how he plays is Nassir Little at UNC; his advanced stats project a Jaylen Brown/Kawhi Leonard Lite type player who should be a very good two way forward.

I don't think I've ever seen a player as athletic as Zion, at any level . He literally looks like a video game character with how high and far he can jump.
Doesn't necessarily mean he'll be a good player but it's ridiculously impressive he does this at 285 lbs

So they both put up stats on schools I've never heard of. Good job to them I suppose.
