Mavericks Receive: Ryan Anderson - 80 - $2,244,601/$3,234,470 Hedo Turkoglu - 77 - $11,015,850/$11,815,850/$12,000,000 Chris Douglas-Roberts - 72 - $1,140,000 2012 2nd Round Pick (Orlando) Total In: $14,400,451
Magic Receive: Stephen Jackson - 79 - $9,256,500/$10,059,750 Amir Johnson - 76 - $5,500,000/$6,000,000/$6,500,000/$7,050,000 Jordan Williams - 70 - $473,604/$762,195/$884,293 2013 1st Round Pick (Brooklyn) Total In: $15,230,104
Mavs Accept. Ryan Anderson's numbers weren't exactly surprising, He's always been capable of producing when given time and the ball. He's only 23/24 so there's still room for improvement. Hedo's regressed but he's still a solid player. The 3rd year is tough to take on, but getting Anderson and moving Johnson is enough to get me to go for it.
Anderson and Dirk might not be the best defensive frontcourt or fit, but there's a lot of talent there and we think we can make it work.

Understanding that my other trades were bad I think this one is truly good for our team. Anderson had a good year last year, so did Jackson, who will be our starting SF adding to our good defense. Johnson had a great year and is young with contract better than Hedo. Williams could become good. The 13 1st is better than the 12 2nd.
I accept.

Sheesh, I still don't like this for the Magic. I can't help but see this as yet another in a series of relentless attempts to rid Orlando of all talent and prospects.
It's definitely a downgrade for Orlando. If it were any other team (ie. one that hadn't had 4 rejects in their first week of GMing), I might be tempted to just let it pass, but we're in full damage-limitation mode at the moment.
I'll break it down how I see it: Hedo Turkoglu and Stephen Jackson cancel each other out. A slight edge to SJax because he's got one year less than Turk on his contract. These guys are both almost the same age, same contract, same position, same function etc.
CDR, Amir Johnson and Jordan Williams are all just filler. Amir has some value but also has a long contract to go with it and couldn't even put up numbers whilst starting most game for the Raptors. Also if he ended up in Orlando he'd be benched behind Amare and Tyson.
That leaves Brooklyn's 1st Rounder for next year, which could end up anywhere, in exchange for Ryan Anderson. Ryan's a 24 year old, sharp shooting small-forward, tall for his position with at least 10 years of career ahead of him because he relies more on his skill than his athleticism.
I suppose I don't dislike this trade enough to reject it though.
I accept.

I might like it a liiiiittle more for Orlando than Boston does...but still think he's undervaluing Ryan Anderson.
That said, at least he does get a 1st, and Amir's per 36 #'s, if I am doing my math at least kind of correctly...would be 10.5 ppg / 9.5 rpg / 1.6 bpg ...he's shot between 56% & 62% each of the past 5 years.
I dunno, he's a pretty solid player. The contract is maybe slightly large but it's basically an MLE for a 25 year old who can really contribute some good things.
I still like it better for DAL than ORL but it's at least decent.
Accept.
