>prevent JR from destructing his team >let larry give up reggie for paul pierce ok. if thats what you call negativity. Reggie has half a season left under contract. He just won't have that much trade value.

You've had 15 trades rejected in your time here as far as I can tell. 8 of those have come in the past year.

Reggie Jackson WILL test free agency. Spurs will have gained an incredibly miniature advantage, if any at all, in re-signing him, probably the none at all thing.
If the Spurs main recruiting tool is another good PG on the team, it has a better chance of scaring Reggie away than it does of attracting him to stay.

How the hell can you say he will leave? Him and IT2 are now franchise guys. The Durant and Westbrook of the PGs. The guard guard combo that can shoot lights out and score EVERY Night. No matter which one it is each night or if they combine with the bench to blow out teams. Why wouldnt he want to play with Waiters and Stauskas and Sullinger and Zeller. Not to mention the rest. If the big guys can produce avg and keep with other teams in the rebounding, THE NEW LOOK SPURS can and will be back in the playoff hunt before seasons end. Why be so jealous? These two guys are about winning and playing team ball. If they can give 100% each night even on off nights and their bench plays hard with the talent it has...this team and group can win a high margin of games. Including a series or more in the playoffs. Your the crazy one guaranteeing Jackson Will leave. HE WILL NOT LEAVE. NO backcourt can contain both in a 7 game series. Not with the roster at hand. We are confident and so are the players. Go worry about your own guys.

I said he will test free agency. Of course he will. We don't have a true re-signing period, so every player technically tests free agency. And I said, as of now, you having IT2 could be, read again, could be, just as big of a deterrent as it is an attraction. You just don't know yet how Reggie is going to view that situation. In addition, there will be other teams with cap space, and if any situation is as good or better than yours, how can YOU say he WON'T leave?

He joins a young group of talented players. He joins another young scorer in IT2. Reggie gets the starting PG position, but just like with Durant and Westbrook...this is their team. They are the franchise guys. Every player looks at FA. Thats fine. But not many players get the opportunity to come to a team and become a Franchise guy. We made every move around pursuing Reggie. Our last couple trades and the offseason. Before he went to Indy we wanted him. He is wanted by the team, the players and our fans. We will have money to resign him. To me it looks as if we have the best shot a resigning him. We have shown we wanted him. We are committed to him. Him and Isaiah are already working out and hitting the gym to achieve chemistry. FA is and will be what it is. But dont come in stating things that are not facts. Lets wait and see. It has nothing to do with this trade being accepted. The thing that bothers me the most is worrying now about who his player agent will be. Will the gm in charge be against the resign or will he be fair and have His top priority to resign before signing elsewhere. Thats my problem with what you said.

You cant compare trying to compete and win with an older team and bringing in franchise guys during a rebuild to win now. The entire tenure as gm i take responsibility for my mistakes, but i still dont take full responsibility for TD leaving and having to break up this team to try and win. We did our very best with what was left. We were still competing and would have been playoff bound many seasons if it were not for Walt making the league better. Yes i said it...better. I had a vet team winning and no it was not fair. But as gm i was doing my job. Its been a long road. But we have revamped our roster and to have Thomas and Jackson and Waiters and Turner and Sullinger and others...i feel we are right there and maybe now ahead of other rebuilding teams. We will start winning and guys will sign here and SA will be a contender once again. Through it all ive been active even at our low. I think my track record is just fine!!

What draw do I have to get Jackson to resign in Indy? Better to trade him for something than to lose on everything.

I dont care what i said. Sure we wanted him to play for us and retire a Spur but when things change and we were not going to make the playoffs because of things that happened, we talked with Manu and playing for a ring was most important to him at this time. He will still retire a Spur. He just wont play for us. And we traded him to a team with a really good chance. Not just a playoff team. If you want to hold things against me for not keeping my word before changes, then dont look into what others have promised. It wont be pretty. Im a stand up guy. Reliable and honest. I speak my mind and what i see as the truth. But im def not a guy like you that annoys people until the end of time. You get involved in all trades and conversations...and gms just wish you would shut your trap and be normal. Your far from normal. Your annoying and you need to stay off my posts. Unless you can be grown and just read them and leave without commenting. I just dont think you can though. Im right...i know it..
