This represents the first time that a player ever appeared twice on a team's salary chart - once for when BKN cut Melo, once for when he signed him again. There should be a second Barber Rule imho

well I guess the barber rule specifically says you can't do this... but I think it's clear that I didn't cut Melo just to have an advantage of signing him to a longer contract. I cut him to do a trade that got rejected

No because like in the NBA, the waivers doesn't go with the trade. Example was the declined Donatas trade, philly still cut their player.

Was philly even in that deal? They just like cutting people lol. They were a third team taking on salary to get to the floor, and they had to cut one guy to get a roster spot.
