Current rating = 80 Suggested = 82
I believe Rubio has a lower rating due to his inability to shoot. Everyone under the sun knows Ruibo's greatest weakness is his jumper. However, looking at his current d5 stats, I believe he needs a revamp. His injury is at an 85. I believe the consensus was that everyone's rating would be at a 70? I think Rubio should have a 99 in passing and in dribbling imo as these are his two main features and maybe put some more into offensive awareness. Even if people vote to keep him the same, this thread should at least cause some rating adjustments.

Definitely in favor of another look at his stats if he has too much allocated to injury. But he's shooting a career low from the field: 35.1%. It's not just that his jumper sucks, he can't really finish at the rim either. I think he's fine where he is, could definitely get a closer look at his ind. ratings, though.

Ok, first things first.
I'll say this till I am blue in the face, you cannot compare in game, sim stats with RL stats. There's too many variables at play that do not remain constant from one realm to the other; the main variable being the mode by which the player receives his stats: the sim vs real life skill.
Secondly, yes his injury is above the value that we are putting Hardiness at, but just because he is above it, does not mean we can go thru and change everyone's without them warranting a change or a rework.
Having said that, I think rubio does need a look.
I don't think we can put someones best attributes at a 99 just because they are his best attributes, they need to command the value. Just because Amir Johnson's best thing about his game is his rebounding, doesn't mean it should automatically be a 99. However, the dribble attribute is a little more skewed than rebounding or shooting. As is passing. But, these would be the areas of his game that would get an increase.
He was reworked back when we started the RC, so it isn't his base stats. But I can see the need for a look, an exploratory surgery if you will.

He is a top 4 passer and ball handler in the nba, that was essentially my point.

79 his entire defensive game is gambling for steals Funny you rate this way. I am almost 100% positive you said he needed an increase on your pod cast.

He is a top 4 passer and ball handler in the nba, that was essentially my point. That is an objective opinion. There really isn't a great measurement of that other than the eye test, which was more towards what I was trying to say, but I did say what you said I said. I think he is a top 4 passer an ball handler, and I am also pretty sure they are already high. His shot is what holds him back, so so much but his defense has been better. He is still an open door on defense but he plays the passing lanes really well which is their system, steals and boards rather than perimeter defense and rim protection. But it is changing, things are looking up. I think Rubio is a solid PG in the league right now and if he could shoot, he would be a top 10 guy.

Yeah that was during the first month where it looked like he was taking a step forward by shooting like a basketball player. Unfortunately, he has regressed. You know, you can change your opinions on things given new evidence and results. Unlike politics, mindless dogmatism is not a virtue here.
