Current: 80
Per Game: 8.4 pts | 5.7 rebs | 1.6 asts | 1.3 blks | 51.4% FG
He is an elite defender but his post skills are below average, rebounding is below average too. There is no way he is an 80.

79. Cavs, you need to start putting your suggested rating in the initial post.

78. Cavs, you need to start putting your suggested rating in the initial post. Why? It's probably better he doesn't, tbh. It'll bias the voting less.

I get your point. I look at it as we need every vote possible since 10-15 people don't vote ever.

Would be interesting if you just posted a player and said, Robin Lopez 80.

No disrespect James but how can he be a 79?? Brian voted a 79, why don't you ask him too?? His per36 have not changed. I thought you were all about rating players based on their ability ... He plays less minutes in NY but he is still a very solid defensive anchor that sets hard screens and shoots 50+ FG and 80+ FT. His RBD numbers don't reflect his contribution on the boards as he boxes out a lot. He's actually shown himself to be a pretty decent passer out of the high block in the triangle system on the Knicks. AND if anything he's improved as a scorer - he's actually doubled his FGA from the 3-10ft range and actually increased his FG% of those shots to 51%.

He's playing great actually. His assist percentage is the highest it's ever been and he's already almost surpassed his personal total assists record for a season in only 49 games.
His rebounding percentage is about the same as last season and his block rate is the best its been in 3 years.
He's also shooting a career high from FT.
80, no change.

Yeah but all those numbers aren't for an 80. So while he isn't doing worse, 80 is too high for who he is & was.

He's losing minutes because teams go small and that leaves them going with power forwards at center. He's not any worse than he was.

Come on James, you know that I love you more than Brian. Yeah, but does his skills accounts to an 80? That is basically my point. It is not really about his regression or improvement.

Exactly, he was overrated and this is brining him back down to where he needs to be.

Haha sorry that just doesn't align with the way you've rated in the past, but w.e. Yeah, I mean, he's probably not an 80 but I think his non-box score contributions would earn him a solid 78-79. Just an insignificant rating decrease imo.

Think I put down a 79 but I honestly think I'll bring it back up to an 80.

Fisher has been looose with the rotations up until now - Seraphin O'Quinn and Williams were all putting in significant time to start the season to get involved and now Fisher is tightening up rotations. Knicks just paid Lopez a ton of money, he's a good player.

Votes Tallied, Closed. You can continue arguing if you wish. We keep threads open for only 5 days now? There has been 9 votes thats more than most threads get. I just wanna make sure I get it tallied so it doesn't fall to the depths of unchanged players by accident. Unless like 4 people roll in with votes way 1 sided this OVR isn't changing much.
