Just trying to help Walt out so I've tallied all the older Stock Watches for easier viewing. I rounded up on decimals that came up. Kyle Lowry - 84-86-87-87-87-88-88-90 = 87 Otto Porter - 75-75.5-76-76.5-77-78-78.5-79= 77 Jamal Crawford - 74-74-75-75-76-76-76-76-77= 76 Nic Batum - 83-83-83-84-84-84-84-84-84-85-85= 84 Al Jefferson- 82-82-82-83-83-83-84-84-84-84-84-84-85-85= 84 Ty Lawson- 77-79-79-79.5-80-80-80= 80 Paul Pierce- 75-76-76-76-76-76-76= 76 Paul Milsap- 85-86-87-88.5-88.5= 87 Nene Hilario- 74-75-76-76-76-76.5-77-77= 76 Kobe Bryant- 70-75-75-76-77-78-78-78-79-80-80= 78 Greivis Vaquez- 73-74-75-75.5-76-76.5-78-78= 76 Kristaps Porzingis- 77-77-77.5-77.5-78-78-78= 78 Draymond Green- 83-84-85-85-85-85-85-86-87-87= 85 Josh Smith- 49-72-75-75-75-75-76-77-77-77-77-99= 76 Andre Drummond- 83-83-83-84-84-84-84-84-86-86-87= 84 Jae Crowder- 75-76-76-77-77-78= 77 Thomas Robinson- 69-69-69-69-69= 69 Steph Curry- 93-95-95-95.5-96-96-96-97= 96 So uh, those threads are closed?

Missed the David Lee one. That is the biggest joke of a rating currently.

View AttachmentStarted to put together a excel spreadsheet for rating changes. I will continue to update through the days. Hopefully, this helps Walt some. That's pretty awesome man. Can you work with Jeremiah Hill and see what the two of you come up with? Either stay on this path with his help or see if you can help him with what he's working on right now? Either way, great stuff!

Only thing that's nice to have for the future is the current rating. Gives me/us a reference when I go to add a certain amount of points to the categories. Otherwise - awesome!

Okay. I am going to make a second page that pulls from the first and lists them from highest to lowest change in rating. Dunno if it's any easier but Jeremiah basically finished tallying all of the ratings except a few current ones still getting votes, last night. Check his first post in this thread.

Yeah, I saw that. I think having the excel file updated will help for future changes too.

Not sure how some of the average rating changes were calculated, but some are off. Garnetts rating should become a 72, not a 73. The average vote is 72.29 right now.

Why would we take the median? That makes no sense at all. The median is not sensitive to changes in data, where the mean is. The data is pretty symmetric, or otherwise it could be influenced heavily by large deviations. Using the median would be wrong, I would think.

From the rating summary....
A GM in this league posts a thread, lobbying for either an increase or a decrease for a player. 1a - Any and all GM's from D5 vote on the player in that thread. 1b - All votes are tallied and accumulated. The highest and lowest ratings are thrown out, and the rest are averaged (mean) to find the new rating for that player.

In 45 changes I did the other day the median and the (truncated) mean only gave a different overall 4 times and that was cause rounding.

Just to be uber clear though, it is the mean (average), after we eliminate both the highest and lowest rating.

Rating Changes - D5.xlsx (19.73 KB) This is my updated spreadsheet. It contains all of the updated voting for players on the first and second page of the rating changes (up to Kwahi). The second tab is for a deciding which players need reworked first.

Is there a way to delete or close threads for players whose rating was changed? That way we don't have people posting in threads that are irrelevant.

There are old votes I made that don't show up either. Really, I could care less but I want to know so I stop voting.
