Thunder Trade:
80 Isaiah Thomas $8,325,000 $9,240,750 $10,257,233 $11,385,528
Spurs Trade:
80 Ricky Rubio $6,723,730 75 Trey Burke $3,172,600 $3,291,424(Team Option) $3,392,388
Draft Rights Of: Larry Nance, JR.
As GM of the Spurs we accept. We thought about this trade..and thought.. And thought...in the end, we give up an expiring PG and a draft pick, and a backup PG for a starting scoring PG who we think very highly of. He may be a second stringer IRL, but that's the choice of the Celtics coach. SA is looking for star talent to build arounx in SA. We are a winning Franchise and this trade makes us better two years from now and forward. On paper! To us it improves us right away. We pair IT2 with Waiters, Turner, Both Youngs and Zeller- to form a young roster moving forward. There was no guarantee Rubio will return after next season and although we would still have Trey Burke..We feel we need a Star PG..not a Jameer Nelson type PG. We lose a lottery pick in Larry Nance.. But from what we see he is a 50/50 chance to be a bust type player. We are willing to move a chance and an expiring and a backup PG for a future All-Star.

One way or another, OKC is going to have an interesting off-season next year.

I think you're overrating Isaiah Thomas! I think if the Spurs took out one of the three pieces you're giving it would be fair, but I'm willing to accept.
Thinking about what Milwaukee got for a non-BR Drummond and other such instances, I just feel like you could get more. I love IT, he's a solid guy, but he's got a ceiling and he's reached it.

This is basically an even trade in my mind. He gets Rubio can pass and Burke who is basically Thomas except taller. Thomas is an 80 but really isn't that good especially on the defensive end. His contract will be a bargain for what he brings is the only reason to hold onto him.

OKC accepts this trade. WE like Isaiah Thomas and there has been plenty of interest for him during this off season. Rubio fits our team mold better as being a pass first PG. We are confident we will be able to retain Rubio this next off-season due to a multitude of reasons. Furthermore, we get two more pieces that may draw trade interests from other teams. We have been endlessly trying to trade for a pass first PG and have finally found one without giving up our 1st round picks.

Seems like an unnecessary gamble for OKC, but I guess from a talent standpoint it's okay. I'll accept.
