MEM Trades -
71 Steve Blake $1,250,000 65 Stephen Jackson $5,435,000
LAL Trades -
None
LAL needs some warm bodies. I need to make space for something.

Rule Proposal for Future Trades like this. The team trading nothing trades "Cash Considerations" which is a 1 million dollar cap hold.

Rule Proposal for Future Trades like this. The team trading nothing trades "Cash Considerations" which is a 1 million dollar cap hold. The hold should definitely exist, because in real life these trades are not free like they are here, and it should be a % of the cap. Say 1-2% depending on the size of the contract taken on. The holds should be non tradeable and last until the end of the season.

I don't really like this trend of all these nothing trades coming out now. I like the Cash Considerations cap hold idea.
Anyway, while it's still within the rules, I accept.

Maybe the committee should adopt a policy before letting another one of these trades go through? I am speaking in terms of after this trade - just to be fair.

I get that it's weird for nothing trades to happen, but I still don't see the problem with them. Why does another team have to include a token asset?
I accept.

Some part of my brain would be a lot happier if instead of saying "nothing" on the one side of the trade, it listed the cap space gained. But that's really what the one side gets of course. And roster space.
