Tony Parker has waited this long to see where Melo and Jordan would end up. He wanted to make sure that the core would return and it looks like GM Mike has fulfilled Tony request. He will sign for 6 more years to hopefully finish his career in LA.
Tony Parker contract:
Year 1: 17,000,000 Year 2: 18,000,000 Year 3: 19,000,000 - Player Option Year 4: 20,000,000 Year 5: 21,000,000 Year 6: 22,000,000
Total Salary: 117,000,000

Tony was a tough negotiator but we welcome him back and are extremely excited to be bringing back all our core players!

Why am I the only person who thinks that no one else was offering for Tony Parker?

Can't wait until the hard cap hits some of these teams going way way over the cap. We were getting up there but when you are not winning...its time to cut that money in half before penalties set in.

I didn't look to see if you were bud. Just stating what I was arguing with Troy about...
Didn't mean to include it in your thread.

Why am I the only person who thinks that no one else was offering for Tony Parker? I see the player agent liked this comment but I was told there were other offers and I had to greatly increase my bid from my original offer to keep him. When an agent responds and asks you to match another offer, other than letting him walk, what choice do I have?

There were a few offers on Tony but not as much as I wished for. But the GM;s who offered Tony, offered a lot more money. I actually had to decrease the amount by a bit because it was too high
