I would just like to point out that it's 100% bullshit that Glenn and Walt can get a free agent to sign with their team by "promising" them something, but Brian can't even get a CHANCE for Hayward to resign without overpaying for Drummond. It's 100% bullshit. I'm fine with a new NO PROMISE rule but to allow it for Glenn and Walt and then start enforcing it here is super gay. If anyone thinks that there would be more of a chance that Marc Gasol would sign with Glenn's team than Hayward would sign with Brian's team then they are fucking insane. Especially when both players did the EXACT OPPOSITE in real life. Fucking gay. Brian is getting shafted by the PA and by Glenn. But what is he to do? He has no choice because the PA randomly decides to be a dick to Brian instead of everyone else. bullllllllshhhiiiittttt. Umm...I dunno where you got your information? I told Brian a couple days ago that Hayward will sign with him but he was willing to wait a little so that he could use his cap space to make the team better first. Relax buddy!

I believe Brian is waiting for a different FA situation, it's not on my end or Gordon's end. He's going back to the Pelicans and wants the team to be better so he's letting him use some cap space if possible.

I told Brian a couple days ago that Hayward will sign with him but he was willing to wait a little so that he could use his cap space to make the team better first. I think that is good but agents need to reach a common ground on that. Blazers for example, lost all their cap space because Aldridge and Wall signed earlier. Whether who is wrong or right, I think that sort of things should be established by rule.

Another shafting. I honestly do not feel people should have control over being a PA and being on the trade committee. I think there is too much power in the hands of a few people. How it is now would be like letting Obama be on the supreme court. I definitely see problems of conflicts of interest in this aspect and it should be dealt with.

Yet those with control use that control to their advantage because they can.
I don't think a gm at least in D5 should be able to get an okay from the PA that his FA is going to resign... To save money to sign other FAs before signing their own players. It's in the same group as making a promise to a FA.
There should be a time when all FAs returning to their team, should sign. Then teams can sign other FAs. Or vice versa. The only problem is knowing.
We as a league are learning and we have come far since the first season... But we still have a long way to go!!
We have rules that need put in place, rules that need adjusted and we as a league need to realize that there is some sneaky unsportsmanlike issues occurubg... And some that HAVE occurred. Things that we may not even know.
We can be realistic as we can, but I think more importantly we need to set rules and guidelines to make sure the league is fair and honest to all GMs... Committee member or not!!!
Lots of work ahead guys...but we are still in the best basketball sim league around okay...
Let's get through it all...but establish those things that need taken care of....and take care of it!!!

But this actually happens IRL. All the time. Why would a returning, BR player not want his team to get better using cap space that he's going to eat up once JR signs?
