What an amazing run!! We finish the Playoffs 16-0 and finish the season on an 18 game win streak!
I felt with the additions we made in the off-season and by adding Rodney Stuckey mid season that we were good enough to win a championship this year after getting knocked out in the Conference Finals last season. Never would I have thought though that we would win a championship in the manner that we did. Especially considering how tough the West is and having to play Lebron and CO. in the Finals. None the less we found ways to win close games throughout the Playoffs and put together a truly magical title run.
With the amount of time I spend involved with D5 it is so awesome to join Ian, Troy, and Clyde as GM's that have won a league title!

Post-game conference: Question for Chris: 1st of all, Congratulations on winning the championship. I speak on behalf of most media members when I tell you I hardly doubt we will ever witness such a playoff run. 16-0. I am speechless. Chris. Tell me. How does it feel to win the championship? You feel complete or hungry for more? Are we in presence of the next big dynasty because it sure looks like that at this point? What can we expect from the Warriors in the future? I was telling my friends of the media that Warriors will even more unstoppable once they trade Perkins' expiring for a solid backup. Sam, it feels great to win the D5 Championship! When I took over as GM of the Warriors I had a very clear picture in my mind of how I wanted to build the team moving forward and I was fortunately able to bring in the players to make it happen. When you take an idea and you're able to turn it into reality it is very fulfilling in a lot of ways. However, I'd be lying if I said I was satisfied with winning 1 title. Sure, we'd love to win multiple titles, but I also realize how hard it is to even win 1 league championship. We have the majority of our core under contract for the next several seasons so we feel we are in a good position to contend for the next couple years. You can expect the Warriors to be competing with the best of the West. There are a lot of good teams out West though so nothing is guaranteed in this league. Teams can go from the bottom to the top in a very short time in D5 so you always have to be looking for ways to try and stay a step ahead of the competition. Free Agency will begin shortly and we have already begun preparations for that. We only have our MLE to work with this off-season which will make things a bit tougher but we already have our sights set on a couple guys we feel could help us try to defend our title next season. Free Agency is always a big gamble though so you never know what may happen.
