I'm not sure what Magic is thinking here. He doesn't get BR on Kemba, and Dragic is 3rd in PPG, 7th in APG, 12th in SPG. I've got him on my shortlist of MVP candidates.

I don't quite hate it, Magic gets about an extra $4m to play with this offseason and will most likely have a shit ton of cap when Kemba's contract expires. anyway, Kemba had an alright season - don't think he's enough of a downgrade if at all to consider rejecting.

I accept.
There are few reasons I am doing this
1. Kemba is younger with still room to improve (won't be elite but I believe he can get to Dragic's level)
2. 4 million cap room save (which will help since I will be going after a PF that I considered trading Dragic for before this place took place, but then again I'll get shafted by the league PA with the "hometown" excuse).
3. I don't have birdrights on Kemba true, but Kobe's contract is off the books and there's a strong chance as much as I like Kobe I will most likely not resign him, so finance isn't even an issue there, so offering Kemba high dollars won't be a problem.
4. gives me flexibility this offseason and next offseason.

I'll trust Magic enough to accept this. Worst case, it shifts a little bit of power around in the West. Even though the Lakers aren't a power team, they are solid and the Suns could use an upgrade. Best case, they both get a guy they like and Magic gets money to play with this offseason.

I agree, I think this is a great trade. A classic "I like your guy and you like my guy" type of deal. This type of trade happened a lot this year in real life especially close to the deadline!
