Well guys, I've watched every game this guy has played this season and it would be more proper to call this "The corpse of John Salmons". John was on the Pelicans and appeared in 21 games, and not because of injuries either, mostly DNP. This comes from a team that started Luke Babbitt for 2 months.
2 ppg, 1 rpb, everything else less than one half. His fg% is 33.
He is also slow as hell, and the only person I've seen that defended someone worse is Jimmer Fredette. Of course, he got traded at the deadline this season following the well known John-Salmons-Must-Be-Traded-Every-Year Law.

You guys act like every young guy is the best and because of youth they will end up doing something. Let me tell you a fact. Every NBA player who has a contract past one season is a legit nba player. Even players that sit the pine and barely get up are better than most college players-the better ones. Even the old heads in the league that get traded every few months. I personally don't see in active NBA player going below 70. Rookies maybe. But if a guys in the league and on a team he can ball and has talent.

John Salmons will never be in the NBA again... he wouldnt of been in the NBA this year except that the pels used the MLE to sign him for this exact purpose... to trade his contract at the deadline for someone slightly useful. And yes im sure he can "ball" and yes hed beat a lot of college players 1v1, but i honestly believe you could count the number of NBA players he could beat on one hand. The dude is a corpse of his former self at this point.

Offense and Defense. I agree Salmons is done. But it does not mean he needs removed from game. And anything below 70 is too low for vet that could still play. Maybe I'm wrong and those guys should be in the 65-70 range. I just don't think they are that bad. Adjust the attributes and keep them above 70..

I think it'd be beneficial to have more stretched out ratings. Someone decided to be "done" should be below a 70, imo. Also just about every 2nd round rookie should be below a 70 as well, and even some late 1st rounders. I definitely am not calling for Salmons to be removed from the game.

Unless there is a limit on how many players can be in sim. If a player is not playing right now but have not been out of the league more than one season or so..how do we rate them. What about young talent playing overseas??? How do we rate them? Truly I feel players playing abroad could return But I don't get why we have those players playing active in our league. If they are not playing right now on an NBA team they should be put on IRL just like the injured or players waiting to sign with a team. I just think it's unfair to let players be active who are not.

I agree with leaving the players in until they retire... however players who go overseas to play because of advanced age are not coming back to the NBA and should be <70, in my personal rating scale. Salmons shouldn't be playing in the NBA right now. I disagree with not being able to sign players playing overseas or in the D League, I think that should be fine... if you could sign the guy IRL, then you should be able to make a move a GM in the real NBA League wouldn't be willing to make, and it might work out well for you. I just think anyone not on a NBA roster should automatically be below a 70. Of course, "automatically" means just I'll vote them less than 70 when their stock watch thread comes up.
